Crash Test Dummies – He Liked To Feel It Lyrics 16 years ago
This song kicks butt, just like most CTD songs. So what I get from this is how when it comes to all of us, for us being adventurous and doing things the way we want to do them, we're excited to tell everyone about them. We're even happy to tell people about the things that are painful. On the other hand, when we do things the way we're "supposed to", then no one wants to talk about that. There's nothing exciting or worth while to talk about when it's what we're "supposed" to do.

Carbon Leaf – Block Of Wood Lyrics 16 years ago
This song is about a family falling apart. It's a song about things in the family that have soiled the tree and begun the destruction of it. The fabulous part about this song is how it is pointing out that no matter what's going on with the family, there is still a block of wood that's there. No matter what the mess is, there's still something great that can be made from what is there. It's like things fell apart, the tree is more or less gone, but there's something wonderful left - a souvenier from the family tree - like a souvenier from a wonderful journey. This is a great song of a family that has fallen apart.

oops about where that landed, it wasn't supposed to be a "reply", it was to have been a comment. Either way, it's here now.

Carbon Leaf – Raise the Roof Lyrics 16 years ago
This is my take on the song. This is a song about what's important. Take away the things that are making me see the world the way I see it, and let me see what there really is to see. "Dance till you fall. Love till you die. Shut your mouth." The things that are important are dancing and loving. The silliness of babbling and running your mouth is not important and it's just talking and saying things that are from your cluttered point of view, not even seeing what's REALLY there. Let me see what's real and let me see what's really important. That's what I get from this song.
