I'm pretty sure the razor line refers to the incident in real life when tori amos was raped by a man with a knife. she brings that up a lot in various ways in her songs, and that lyric is immediately followed by the man referencing a "violator," so I'm pretty sure it's got something to do with that. I'm not sure about all the lyrics, but I think the song generally is about a man willing to love her despite the fact that she's "damaged" in this way, and he's willing to accept her to the fullest degree possible, making her at once this strong woman that she's made herself to be and yet incredibly vulnerable to him at the same time. very lovely song. |
