I used to think of this as a metaphor of inmigration or discrimination and all the feelings they may bring, but after reading some comments i'm confused, it also sounds like a description of a catastrophe... It's a great song anyways, i love zach's lyrics they are all so deep and sweet =) |

for me it's like a goodbye to his childhood or maybe to innocence... i think of carousels as actual carousels. but then verse three i think it sounds like he regrets losing it, the hand being his as a child if that makes any sense... i would love to hear more opinions though =) |
