My Chemical Romance – The Only Hope For Me Is You Lyrics 15 years ago
Gah, did you guys forget the concept of the album? Yes, it could be a reference to 9/11, and he could still be inspired by the whole imagery about it, but this takes place in a apocalyptic world in 2019. Apparently the first verse follows a battle between the Killjoys and the Dracs, if I had to guess right.

Alesana – To be Scared by an Owl Lyrics 16 years ago
"The Artist spends the day planning his attack and the evening hunting for the Thespian. A flash of light from the blade of the Thespian stings his eyes and the two engage in a fight to the death. Armed with only his hands and the fleeting memories of his Annabel, the Artist vows revenge." -Alesana

Alesana – In Her Tomb By The Sounding Sea Lyrics 16 years ago
""The Artist finds his feet and trudges back out into the sunlit town. He rounds the corner and once again sees Annabel in the reflection of a window. However, this time she does not look angry or sad. She doesn't appear to him as the tortured and pained image he saw in the bar, but rather as the woman he had fallen so in love with during the past seven years. Suddenly, the Thespian appears in the reflection, standing behind Annabel with a knife to her throat. Fear engulfs her entire body as the Thespian slits her throat from ear to ear. The horrific image alerts the Artist of two things equally disturbing and harsh: the memory of Annabel is slowly disappearing from his mind and he must find and kill the man who has taken her from him." -Alesana

Alesana – The Lover Lyrics 16 years ago
""As badly as the Artist wants to believe that the girl who seemingly appeared out of thin air is Annabel, he knows in his heart that she is not. Despite this crushing realization, he is taken by her beauty and her sudden emergence in the alley where he was slowly dying. The mystery woman takes him in and cares for him, nursing him back to health. After several days of silence, she whispers to him, "I'll be your anchor, I'll be your lover." It is at this very second that he knows that she is indeed his Annabel after all. He leans in to kiss her soft lips, which sends him face first into the cobblestone of the alley in which he knelt. Awakened from his dream, the Artist is once again pained with the realization that his lover is gone." -Alesana

Alesana – Heavy Hangs The Albatross Lyrics 16 years ago
""Finding it nearly impossible to come to grips with the emergence and confession of the Thespian, the Artist gives up on his fleeting fantasy that Annabel could still be alive. Without his vengeance, his anger, his insanity and without the chance of Annabel coming back from the dead, he attempts to decipher a way to join her in death. With thoughts of suicide on his mind, the Artist contemplates storming the town with a rage unmatched by anyone. He must draw out the Thespian to die heroically as he avenges the death of his lover. Wandering the town as the feeling of defeat weakens his every step, the Artist falls to his knees in an abandoned alley. Mere seconds before his plan comes to fruition, she appears." -Alesana

Alesana – The Thespian Lyrics 16 years ago
"As the sun sets, the Artist cannot seem to escape his own imagination. Completely lost in self-indulgence, he begins to see Annabel's face everywhere. The visions of her usher his wandering, delusional thoughts back to the day when he first fell in love with her. He soon becomes obsessed with the fantasy that she could possibly still be alive. The Artist scrambles home in a hastened fury only to be stopped dead in his tracks at his front porch by a man who introduces himself as the Thespian--the man who killed Annabel." -Alesana

Alesana – Hymn For The Shameless Lyrics 16 years ago
"Following the massacre and armed with a complete lack of guilt, the Artist finds a sick pleasure in the deception of his ways. He begins to feel invincible. Relishing his victory and overcome by his own satisfaction, he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath as he ponders his own insanity. The Artist fantasizes about Annabel's voice and questions whether her love could save him from what he's become. He snaps and curses all who thinks he will even consider stopping now." -Alesana

Alesana – The Murderer Lyrics 16 years ago
"The Artist finally makes it into town and, at least for the time being, sheds the haunting voice of Annabel. He wanders past a tavern to the sounds of laughter and drunken piano playing and becomes uncontrollably enraged. If he is not allowed to be happy, then no one shall be. The Artist enters the tavern and bolts the door shut behind him, unbeknownst to the patrons inside. His thoughts are racing, his adrenaline is pumping, and he takes a drink to steady his nerves. He glances up from his glass only to find a blood-covered, screaming Annabel in the reflection of the mirror behind the bar. He finishes his drink, stands up, approaches the poor soul closest to him and utters five macabre words: 'Are you ready to die?'" -Alesana

Alesana – A Lunatic's Lament Lyrics 16 years ago
"In an abashed state of mind, the Artist begins to blame Annabel for what he has obviously done to her: his depression and paranoia have turned to rage. He moves as quickly as his feet will carry him toward the center of town. Not only is he running from the grisly murder scene, but he's running from the ringing of Annabel's voice in his head. It's as if her spirit is chasing him, torturing what little sanity he has left. He cannot look her in the eyes, he knows it will weaken his anger and he simply cannot allow that to happen. Not now. The Artist begs and pleads with her to leave him be as he sprints toward the town, his intentions still unknown even in his own mind. There's one crippling thought that the Artist cannot seem to escape even in madness: Annabel is the only girl he has ever loved." -Alesana

Alesana – The Artist Lyrics 16 years ago
"The Artist, overwhelmed with panic and paranoia, is convinced that he is being watched and that someone somewhere knows what he's done. Just the sight of Annabel's body begins to blur the lines of fantasy and reality. He controls the urge to run and leans down to kiss her one final time, closing her eyes with the gentle touch of his blood-soaked fingertips. His tortured goodbye plagues his mind and allows the madness to come pouring back with a vengeance. The Artist accepts his fate, hides the body and sets out into the night." -Alesana

Alesana – Curse Of The Virgin Canvas Lyrics 16 years ago
"The dawn is approaching the small town of Slough in England during the year 1898. A local sketch artist, known to us simply as "the Artist," lies in a bed next to the woman of his dreams, "Annabel." As the first rays of sunlight pour through the window, he rolls over to wake his lover with a kiss. Her cold lips reveal a lifeless body once so beautiful. His one and only love has been murdered and nothing is what it seems. When it is revealed to him whose hands may be responsible, he begs for the whole thing to be a horrible nightmare." -Alesana

My Chemical Romance – You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison Lyrics 16 years ago
It's about prison rape. >.> But it still fits in with the concept of the album with the whole 1000 evil guys and whatnot.

The man starts killing people and thinks he's not gonna get caught ("Well they're never gonna get me, I'm like a bullet through a flock of doves") but he ends up being arrested and sent to jail. And then the rest is about prison life.

"What they ask of you will make you want to say 'so long" - referring to him contemplating suicide after being raped so many times and going though other forms of abuse, I guess.

And it's also about the downsides of band life, apparently, don't really know the details though..

My Chemical Romance – I Never Told You What I Do For a Living Lyrics 16 years ago
Well, the whole album is about a man, a woman and the souls of 1000 evil men, right? The man dies and goes to hell and the woman doesn't die at all even though he thought she did. The man makes a deal with the devil - he would be resurrected temporarily ad kill 1000 evil men and hand over their souls, and he'd be able to be with his wife again.

In this song, it's the last night before the deal would be done. He's already killed 999 men and only has one more to go, but the guilt is consuming him. While he's on his way to kill the last guy, I think he accidentally finds his wife, still alive, and realizes that he was tricked. The police somehow catch them, and they're shot down. But he's confident that they'll be reunited in another life.

That's the fictional aspect. I think it's also about how far people are willing to go to get what they want, even if it's wrong.

This is my favorite MCR song <3

Drop Dead, Gorgeous – They'll Never Get Me (Word With You) Lyrics 16 years ago
My theory is that Angela Monroe (the pastor's wife) is the murderer. At least, the main one. I think the pastor's also heavily involved and may have caused her to do it, and that others are helping and/or copying her.

They thought that this murder was different because of the style of the killing (no rape or mutilation). She could've done this murder alone, unlike the other ones where the pastor was probably with her at the time. She feels like she has to kill Paula (the victim) but doesn't really want to.

"Forgot my name.
Forgot where I came from.
I died getting here,
Make me gold, I'm waiting."

Her death was faked, probably part of the pastor's plan, and here is when she starts to believe that she really is dead. She's forgotten who she is in the process, and only knows that she needs to kill sinners.

"Call me the Dark Angel.
(Don't touch me,
Don't trust me)
Please don't scare.
(Please keep your hands away from me.)"

She probably sneaked into Paula's house in the middle of the night (since the time of death was 3:04AM). Paula thinks that she's dead and she's trying to calm her down and tell her not to be scared because she's an angel. But at the same time, she's (in her mind) begging Paula not to trust her because she was about to kill her. "I'd like to have a word with you." She lures Paula out of the house saying that she needs to talk to her, something important that probably has something to do with Paula's faith, which is why she followed.

...the only thing that so far I can't figure out is the number 154. It was written on the note found along with 'Call me the dark angel.' Anybody get this?

Drop Dead, Gorgeous – Bye Bye Blues (The Whole West Coast Is Ruined) Lyrics 16 years ago
There's a lot of people claiming to be the murderer at this point. Maybe some of them are murdering people on their own. Maybe the murderer is involved with this group of copycats in some way.

In my other comments, I say how I think Angela Monroe, the pastor's wife, is the murderer. (the original one at least, since there might be more than one). The pastor is heavily involved though, and might've prompted her to start killing people in the first place, and caused her insanity.

Tara Everitt is the 11th victim. She's the sister of the first victim, Cindy. But when Cindy was murdered, none of her family was around to identify the body. So where was Tara?

Tara might just be one of the people at least helping the murderer. Tara did something, maybe gone off on her own or didn't follow orders like she was supposed to, but she did something wrong and therefore she had to be punished. Angela believes that she's a dark angel from God sent to punish sinners. Tara went against her, so she had to be killed. 'You never had the guts to face me.' Tara knew that she was going against her, but tried to hide it from Angela.

The note left by Angela.. Angela really admired Tara, and saw herself in her. Maybe by leaving her at the church, she believed that she could be sent back and be a dark angel just like her, and properly do 'God's work' like she should've been doing. That's my theory..

Drop Dead, Gorgeous – I Want to Master Life and Death Lyrics 16 years ago
So, my theory is that the pastor's wife Angela Monroe was the murderer. Her death was faked, and at this point, Angela is now completely insane and believes that she's a dark angel sent from God to punish/kill people for their sins. The pastor was who drove her into insanity and I believed he even assisted her with some of the murders (which explains the rapes). But after a while he started losing control of her she got worse and worse off, and she escaped from him.

"I would do for you what you did to me, even kill,
But to you I am just a mirror.
Well sometimes mirrors shatter.
The shrapnel becomes deadly.
It surrounds you with no escape and you can't save her.
You can't save her."

The pastor finally finds her. Now, Angela thinks that he's the one who killed her (it might've been his idea to fake her death). He used her to commit all these murders, and only saw her as a tool, or a mirror. The metaphor that mirrors shatter is pretty much how everything's coming right back to him. He can't escape from what he's done, and now she's referring to herself as the one who couldn't be saved, because she remembers that part even though she doesn't exactly remember who she is.

The pastor tries to save her from herself. They fight, and he might've fatally wounded her.. 'And I fell while you tore through my neck.' She ends up shooting him through the head. 'When I awoke, you were already dead. Those eyes, I'll never forget.' She's horrified from what she's done. She runs away from the scene, never to be heard of again. But not before writing the final message 'Death is upon all of us. It comes in the shape of an angel. Chris no more.' She might've finally snapped out of it, or gotten enough sanity from the horror of murdering her husband to attempt to explain the pastor's plan and give off his name. Then she disappears. She might've died from the wounds the pastor have given her, since this is the last murder.

Drop Dead, Gorgeous – It Sounded Like An Accident Lyrics 16 years ago
Crap, I forgot something. (sorry for the uber long post btw). On worsethanafairytale.com, they show clips of a few of the murders. Clip #4, if I'm remembering right, shows part of this murderer. (although they made a mistake and her arms are tied up with bricks instead of her legs)

I missed this the first time because I thought the clip was done, but at the very end, you see a reflection on the lake's disturbed surface. The figure looks like a woman.

Drop Dead, Gorgeous – It Sounded Like An Accident Lyrics 16 years ago
"Soaked in blood, only to be sterilized."- Like what some other people said, the body was under the water for so long that it washed away all the blood and evidence that was on her.

"Served alive, I want to be traumatized." -I never really got the served alive part. I'm currently writing a story based on this album, and for me, I feel like the killer wants to be able to feel something from murdering these people. The killer was driven from emotion and had a reason to kill these people, and if they killed another person for no reason, that might be enough to bring back their sanity. Elizabeth (victim's name) was mostly innocent compared to the others, but she found out who the killer was, so she had to be disposed of anyway. Two birds with one stone I guess.

"Don't tell, don't tell, keep it in your locket." Same as before, she knew who the killer was. The killer knows that other people also must've found out, and by nailing her hands to the dock with this note, it was their way of warning the others to keep their mouths shut. (I also think that there's more than one killer, or at least copycats.. so it could also be warning them or something)

The whole middle part.. well, I think this is when the killer's watching Elizabeth drown and gets a small moment of clarity from it. I think the killer is Angela Monroe, the pastor's wife. This is when she realizes that she's beginning to forget who she was. All the other murders were driven mostly by her emotions and because in her mind she started thinking that they deserved to die because of their sin. This idea might've been fed to her by the pastor, who's definitely involved and might've assisted the murderers, not actually killing them but might've been the one raping them. Anyway, this is when her dementia starts setting in, because then she starts believing that she really is dead (she faked her death in September 1976) and that she was an angel sent from God to punish these people. 'The love is gone only to spawn disastrous memory'. She doesn't feel like she's still in love with the pastor and maybe hates him now, and is disgusted by all the memories she has with him. And then she finally slips back into her own insanity.
