This is probably my favorite song on this album. Looking at the "Give me what you owe me" line and the last verse before the chorus, I think this is sung from the point of view of a mugger who feels like it's society's fault he has to resort to violence to get some cash. He thinks he's a victim of society and that the working class is "Made of gold" so it's not that big a deal to steal from them. |

Yeah it seems like Gomez just took the Red Red Meat version, fit it to their own musical style, and then only used about 1/3 of the original lyrics. This song sounds awesome but I don't really get it. |

I'm pretty sure this goes: guy meets girl, girl has a boyfriend, guy tries to convince girl to go with him instead. He must be coming off a breakup or something cause he seems really needy. I love the puns in this song :) |
