I took a shining to you
I wasn't lying to you
What are you trying to do
And who are you crying to
You have some singing to do
Some singing for your food
I have something for you
Come into my room
It's back alley I know
But you're made of gold
Just too bright in daylight
Step into the dark to talk
Up against the wall
Empty out all of your content
Don't hold back friend
Give what you owe me then
Count to one hundred slowly
I put a shining on you
Poison pill in your food
Singing la la la
What's that tune?
Bad timing for you
One two three four strikes on you
You put your back on my knife
Made me ask "Your money or your life?"
Up against the wall
Empty out all of your content
Don't hold back friend
Give what you owe me then
Count to one hundred slowly
I wasn't lying to you
What are you trying to do
And who are you crying to
Some singing for your food
I have something for you
Come into my room
But you're made of gold
Just too bright in daylight
Step into the dark to talk
Empty out all of your content
Don't hold back friend
Give what you owe me then
Count to one hundred slowly
Poison pill in your food
Singing la la la
What's that tune?
One two three four strikes on you
You put your back on my knife
Made me ask "Your money or your life?"
Empty out all of your content
Don't hold back friend
Give what you owe me then
Count to one hundred slowly

This is probably my favorite song on this album. Looking at the "Give me what you owe me" line and the last verse before the chorus, I think this is sung from the point of view of a mugger who feels like it's society's fault he has to resort to violence to get some cash. He thinks he's a victim of society and that the working class is "Made of gold" so it's not that big a deal to steal from them.
