I agree with Cheezedude12 it really seems like it's about incest. Which is what makes it so awkward. Reading some of the other interpretations though, made me think about it a little.
But I think people are reluctant to say incest, for obvious reasons, making them quickly find another meaning to the song. |

my honest opinion of this is different than anybody. Now when i first starting to listen to this song i had to write a 9/11 poem. and for some reason thats all i can think about when i listen to it. "You are the cause and I'm the effect. Created from hatred a noose for your necks" i just think it sounds like their describing their hate for what they did. but that's just my opinion and i could be wrong. |

I'm not sure if other people have said this.
But I think this song is about how people don't care about anybody else but themselves anymore. They won't even do something as simple as letting someone into to traffic because they have to get to where they need to go and that's the only thing that matters.

wow that is amazing. I totally understand this song now. one thing though you said the "Embarrassment to molecules" part was saying humans are comparable to a molecule. I think it was more saying we are like a waste of molecules. Or maybe that we are even smaller than molecules. But that's just my opinion i may be wrong. |

If you listen to the song The Fallen you know why Mitch, the singer, hates god and Christianity so much. And his reason is actually my same reason to.
