I like Crass and the Clash and I think Crass was a little hasty in condemning them. They sold their records much cheaper than they were supposed to (selling double/triple LPs for the price of a single) and the Brigate Rosse shirt he wore was to raise awareness of what they were doing, not celebrate it. |

The problem in this song is that, presumably, the only ones who would follow what they say are their more harcore fans. So they don't have kids and pass their worldviews on to future generations (something i think LoC would like to happen) while conservatives keep having 10 kids per family and spreading their bullshit. So their ideology, will die out while there are more hardline conservatives in the world.
Quite the dilemma. |

I like Leftover Crack/Choking Victim but, honestly, most of Stza's lyrics aren't that smart, not in the sense of being all that well thought out. Sure they're uncomprimising (regardless of if I agree with them) and he gets points for standing by what he believes but they rarely consider the other side. I have my problems with organized religion, i admit though.
Churches don't make that much money off of people, just donations for maintenence and charity, at least that's how it was back when I was catholic.
Ditch your persecution complex, accept other people's beliefs, stop thinking in absolutes, and for fucks sake Nietzche's quote wasn't technically atheist in nature you idiots, it was more a lament on how faith at the time was becoming less a part of people's lives not a juvenile "lawlz godz fake i are smart now rit?" |
