| When I first hear a song I would like to know the lyrics right away and those 'idiots' you're referring to give us an opportunity to recieve the gist of the lyrics. As for the lyrics you typed out..they're exactly the same as the ones hundredskies gave us aside from the fact you put two burn away's on the second to last chorus and hundredskies did not. Maybe they didn’t have a very good relationship towards the end and there were problems and she was confused on how to handle them, but knowing that it was worth it when she went on stage) Although you never have to go There's always room for two Although you never ever fall There's a safety net for you (this part I think is about her and Chad. They were a duo and brought a lot of life to the music with their vocals. Chad didn’t have to leave the band but STG will always have room for another singer. And even though he’ll always be the lead singer, he has the band to hold him up aka his safety net) All I have is little enough To carry where I go All I've seen is just enough To remember where I've been (And this is the part of the song where she is leaving. She doesn’t have much but herself and she’ll remember how successful she’d been to make it wherever she goes) It's tougher now than it used to be It's getting a little late When your eyes decide what you should see It's more than you can take (and this is pretty much describing creating a band Versant and how it’s not easy to start over. Maybe there is more depth in it, but that’s all I can get out of it right now) Anywho..that’s just what I see. Maybe I’m totally off. |

so I could be going out on a limb here but again, i think this song is about leaving STG and the aftermath of her being on her own without a band. Maybe since she was without them, many people didn't think she could do it. like in the verse: You've been the pawn, you were the "what's left", holding on to "what's next". Everyone is waiting to see what she will do now that she's on her own and if she'll be any good without STG. Anyway, i think this song is just about people putting her down. |

I'm not positive of what this song is telling but I see it as a story of a werewolf. He/she is possibly in love with another, trying to persuade the lover to stop loving them or they too will die, as others have before them in their rage as a monster. So..here's a bit of a brief explanation. Blue eyes just smile to the world Full of dreams and with fascination Too soon she saw that her hands were chained and pulled without any freedom A girl (or boy. but by the 'she' I'm pretty positive its' a girl :P) is born into the world but finds out that she's not like everyone else. She's something else. A monster. A werewolf. It's always the same, the fear no way out I cannot break it I cannot take it no more Basically, she's talking about herself and her mutation. She's afraid of it and there's nothing she can do about it, but she can't cant take it. She wants nothing to do with it. It's burning me up inside Lost all my tears, can't cry No reason, no meaning Just hatred No matter how hard I try You fear the beast inside It's growing, it's waiting Just to hurt you She's describing the mutation. She loses all feeling except for hatred. no matter how hard she tries to fight back the beast grows inside of her. Also, this could be her persuasion to her lover, telling him that he does indeed fear her and he knows that when she does become this beast there is nothing she can do to stop from hurting him. This heart was hurt by the light and I see your world that tries to deny Now everything that I love has died or has been shattered to pieces. Now this one I had a hard time interpreting but I think I got it. She was cursed by God (light) to become this evil monster and the world denies that it is God's doing. It must be something from an evil source, like the Devil. And b/c she's a monster she's either killed everyone she has loved or the fact that she is a werewolf has ruined any relationship she could ever possibly have. Again, this could also be her telling her lover how much of a monster she truly is and warning him. Can't you see their eyes, what lies inside They've given up, they no longer shing Too soon they close one last cry Before they turn to white I think this is the part where she does kill. She's describing how when she kills they finally give up and they have no life within them. They give out one last cry and finally they die. With the lover bit added, this could be her killing the victim, telling her lover to watch-making him really see that she isn't good. What is inside of her is evil and she doesn't belong with him. he has to get out. The more I think of it..it could be representing a vampire also. either way... |

I do agree with TheOriginalChubbz and my theory is a bit like his, a little different. I think this song is about how this person is afraid of dying and possibly going to hell. He's committed so many sins in his lifetime and he's feeling guilty of whatever actions he's made in the past. And then finally, in the second verse, it's over. He's dead and he no longer has to worry about the guilt because he already hears the devil call his name; he's in hell. He can stop trying to be a better person. he's hollow now. No worries. He's what he always thought he was and now there is no question. |

First off, I just want to say how amazing this song is! Breaking Benjamin are fantastic! While this song could easily be about a relationship I think it's much deeper than that. If you just look closer to the lyrics it's much more. A relationship would be way too simple. My intake on this song is that it's about the good and evil of a person. This man is looking in a mirror, telling himself that he is good, that he's not this monster and he'll fight to prove it and defeat this evi part of himl inside. But as time goes on it's almost as if the evil is consuming his body and taking over him, but as the lyrics read every first verse he's holding onto that small part of good that's inside him. |
