| Devin Townsend – The Fluke Lyrics

I believe it's about how he's so different and 'better' than everyone else and he has to go through life dealing with idiots or contradictions in order to find the good in it. He wonders out loud as to why no one else understands things the way he 'understands' them. Also, he finally realizes that these people pose no threat to him and, therefore, stopped caring about their opinions and fearing them. He calls himself a 'fluke' or 'freak' because he is so drastically different from the majority.
A bit of a rush job and oversimplification, but enough to get (at least some) of my point across. |

Maybe it's a guy trying to find love but can't. So he'll get into a relationship and then realize (even if he doesn't consciously know it) that this girl isn't for him. So he stops caring and the girl leaves him and he feels disappointed that she wasn't the one. So he goes into deep sadness and even anger. This speeds up the 'selection process' and reduces the time he actually cares about the relationship so the who cycle keeps getting shorter (Hence speed of light). |

You can interpret this a lot of ways actually. One interpretation is the band's, which is the message they wanted to convey, but not the message others will get out of it. And honestly, multiple interpretations add spice to songs.
This song reminds me of how I felt a while ago, a lot of the people in my school are shallow and purposeless and stand against my values, and I felt lost because there was no one I could relate to, not even my friends and family. So I often wondered 'what am I fighting for' (yes literally) and I thought there was 'something more' than what everyone preached to me. Additionally, I wondered if anyone other than me truly 'felt' anything. The 'you' part, to me, is either the ideas I stand by or a person who I am trying to 'help,' but I don't pay too much attention to anything but the chorus part.
Others, obviously, got the 'relationship' thing out of it. I'm not getting into this because plenty of other people did it already. |

I simply think it's a song about a boy and girl who like each other and they know that the other likes him/her but they're both kind of afraid so when they try to get close, one of them kind of 'breaks off.' Though the man wants to girl to tell him he can be with her since he is too afraid himself. |

I think it's an anti-conformity song, sure it may be part of a concept album, but it seems that this song has different interpretations. |

The mood conveys saddness and, it seems, the process of moving on. Maybe it's about someone dying and the survivor has to move on and forget about them.
Since it's an instrumental song, it's really hard to tell. |

Another interpretation I got out of it was that a person is giving up his life for the life of someone he loves. |

You're in high school aren't you? Since that's the only time I've heard of people in your situation, when they're in high school. |

It seems the person in the song is in some type of despair (listen to the mood of the music). From what I got out of it, he loved someone, but now he lost her (she died or left forever or something else) and now he just wants to be with her but he can't and he's becoming weaker at that thought. The fact that the thought of her is destroying him mentally is causing him to fear the thought of her because she changed from an object of affection to an object of ruin.
That's what I got out of it. |

Well, this is taking place in late autumn. Though I do agree with what sadistic sniper says, I think he not only haunts the forest but the villages too along with the castles that are scattered around it. |

Moor is also a wasteland, which it probably was.
"Passing swiftly through the moor" is a line from the song the moor. |

I like how this song allows the album to 'repeat' endlessly by referring to the prologue. |

In the last minute or so of the song, I seem to hear whispers in the background. Does anyone else hear them or is it just me? |

Well, at least I know people see Bush for what he is now.
It may have something to do with that fact that a lot of Americans don't think it's their problem and try to shove it onto other people; this may extend to the government. |

To me, I took this about being a loner and bitter at the world, the can stem from abuse or an inability to connect with people--which may be caused by fear or just being different. |

| Sick Puppies – Odd One Lyrics

Basically what vestrisator said,
The song is about someone who is different; the odd one does not conform and acts like oneself all the time. The odd one also, for some reason, does not care much about the world or the people whom live in it.
My guess is because the odd one is smarter than the rest and cannot really connect to them, possibly compounded with other reasons; the odd one realizes that his/her imagination provides him/her with a much better experience than real life and sticks to it instead of other people. |
