| I don't understand why most people immediately associate Pictures of Lily with masturbation... The song was written about a girl named Lily Langtree, who was by no means a porn star, she was an actress and probably the first "pinup girl." The song seems to be concerning a young boy starting to have adolescent desires and finding an escape from daily troubles by looking at photos of something beautiful and surreal. It has no direct implications about masturbation, so it may or may not be. If it is, then whatever, but I think people are jumping to conclusions. | |

He's been gone for a long time and she's sad & lonely and since he's late, why not just rendezvous with Ivor the Engine Driver? That will cheer her up... Then her husband returns. Dang it.
