Show Me The Way Lyrics
I wonder how your feeling
There's ringing in my ears
And no one to relate to 'cept the sea
Who can I belive in
I'm kneeling on the floor
There has to be a force who do I phone
The stars are out and shinning, but all I really want to know...
Oh won't you show me the way
I want you ...show me the way
Well, I can see no reason
You living on your nerves
When someone drops a cup and I submerge
I'm swimming in a circle
I feel I'm going down
There has to be a fool to play my part
Well someone thought of healing, but all I really want to know...
Oh won't you show me the way (everyday)
I want you ...show me the way
I want you day after day
I wonder if I'm dreaming
I feel so unashamed
I can't belive this is happening to me
I watch you when you're sleeping, and then I want to take your love
Oh won't you show me the way (everyday)
I want you ...show me the way
I want you day after day
Oh won't you show me the way (everyday)
I want you ...show me the way
I want you day after day

this osng has a double meaning. it's about a guy whoese in love, but that's only half of it he's also needing advice cause he's lost his way. and he wants the girl to show him how to be alive again. he also wants her to show hm how to be with her
@fastfingerz I am absolutely amazed that a comment made on the Internet when I was 20 years old has had such a profound impact on me today as a 33 year old.

Today I heard what I believe is a live version of this song from the Howard Stern Show. I have so much going on in my life at this very moment and your comment in regards to the meaning of this song is precisely how I felt. Thank you.

The song is about him losing his virginity.
I wonder if I'm dreaming I feel so unashamed I can't believe this is happening to me
He doesn't know what to do...she needs to show him how.
And MGD, it is Dinosaur Jr, not sonic youth. It is sonic youth, not somic youth. And it is watermelon, not watermellon.
Deadly song, enough said...
that guitar work (is it?) I found it funny. and I think I've heard of it already in some other song(maybe). But in whole, the song is so dam great.
@bear_hug20 Frampton used a device called a Talk Box. It is a simple concept -- takes a feed from the guitar in a plastic tube and sends it to his mouth. He shapes the sound by opening and closing his mouth next to a microphone. It dates back 70 years, but became visible in pop music on Chaka Khan's Tell Me Something Good in 1974. Frampton got one as a Christmas gift and used it on the Comes Alive tour. It's a big part of Do You Feel Like We Do.

Wow, this song is a tangle of complicated emotions. Sounds like a guy who is overwhelmed with the craziness that his life has become. He feels like he is being sucked down, as in a whirlpool, his nerves are shredded, he needs someone to stop the craziness and tell him what to do. Sometimes it even sounds like a desperate prayer. Fabulous song, all-time fave Frampton!
