i agree with pretty much everybody else on this one. i think this song is about a girl who feels worthless because people haven't treated her right, and he's telling her that no matter what happens he'll always be there and she can cry and tell him anything and he'll still love her. he's telling her that the world is a cold lonely place and people that you think would never lie to you will and people who you thought were the most amazing people end up hurting you in the end. it's very sad, but it speaks to me. i can totally relate to the girl he's talking to in the song. very beautiful song, i can't get enough. |

i truly believe this is one of the best songs ever written. colbie's voice is so beautiful! i know that she wrote it about her opinions on the war, but i think it could also be about a couple who has been together for a really long time, and then his love for her kind of fades. she says "you used to be happy to try" meaning he used to be happy to try to fix any problems in their relationship but now he just doesn't try at all. he's not really telling her how he feels and she says "no lies, we're losing time" meaning that she just wants to know what is real. and she also says "you made a mistake"..maybe he cheated on her or did something to hurt her and she's just asking him to tell her that he loves her and he won't hurt her anymore but he won't because he doesn't know if he can be true to that. or maybe i'm way off lol either way it's an amazing song. |

"i see your blue eyes everytime i close mine" i lovelovelove that line<3 this song is about a girl who ended her relationship with someone and then realized it was a big mistake. she never really told him exactly how she felt about him, and now she's regreting it. she misses him so much that she doesn't even know how to function without him. that's what i get from the song anyway Colbie's album Breakthrough is AMAZING<3 |

this song is soo beautiful. i have recently become a huge fan of Colbie, and this is one of my favorites of hers. i think it's about a girl who is really hurt because the one she loves has just ended the relationship, but she also realizes that there is someone out there that is better for her, and that just because one relationship ended it's not the end of the world. it's going to take a lot of time, but she'll be ok. amazing song<3 |
