| A Perfect Circle – Rose Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Abusive relationship... I am in the process of trying to end one I am in and this song gives me a little more strength each time I listen to it | |
| The Meg And Dia Band – Masterpiece Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| It sounds like a controlling or abusive relationship to me. | |
| K's Choice – Not An Addict Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
This is definitely about heroin. "The deeper you stick it in your vein The deeper the thoughts, there's no more pain" Heroin is injected, and also is an opiate, so relieves pain. If a user takes enough he or she will not feel much at all. |
|
| The Meg And Dia Band – Masterpiece Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| It's about a girl who didn't feel she was good enough for a guy, so basically completely changed herself for him without even meaning to. Now, she's dealing with the repercussions of her actions; he is seeing through her and angry that she would change herself so much. | |
| Tool – 10,000 Days (Wings Pt. 2) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Are you retarded, though? Honestly? | |
| Tool – 10,000 Days (Wings Pt. 2) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| ...hahahahahahaha | |
| Tool – 10,000 Days (Wings Pt. 2) Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Haha no she was definitely paralyzed. Have you ever listened to his and Howerdel's band APC? He wrote a song called "Judith" that contrasts this one in a lot of ways, but is still about his mom, and in it he says she is "broken down and paralyzed". And no, he is not simply being metaphorical. |
|
| Tool – Sober Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Definitely about addiction and how it lets everyone around you down, hurts your loved ones | |
| Tool – Sweat Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Coming down from Heroin... I've been there to witness this happening to someone, it's not pretty, but it fits the song perfectly. | |
| Toadies – Possum Kingdom Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| My god, you guys who are yelling at the vampire theorists for being "idiots" are completely ridiculous, and you are giving Toadies fans a bad name. Who cares if that's what the song means to some? To be honest, I had no idea what it meant at first, just thought it was a cool song, and when I heard that it was about vamps I was kind of confused... Due to the title of the song. But seriously, if that's what these people want to believe, lay off. Who cares? Just enjoy the song for you. | |
| Paramore – My Heart Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This is not about god. Hayley is not that stupid. Paramore is not religious. I'm sorry, but I hate religious bands, and if this is about God, I will not listen to it. God is a fairytale, just like Greek mythology and ancient egyptian scripture. Modern people are stupid not to realize that. Just live like a good person and you will get what is coming to you, and if you die, you will see what happens next. | |

| The Meg And Dia Band – Fighting For Nothing Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Correct lyrics: When I was younger, I wish that I would have known better. Better love makes a fat romance, that lasts for more than a shoe shine. I’m older, took all the words of my mother, saying, "It could be worse, could be born with that disease, instead of catching it first." So let’s go back, to the first time, that I met you, in your Chevy, with your hands stretched, and me crying, screaming, “Mercy, Mercy!” But I know that, I was put here, to fight Vikings, in the cold war, with my arms out, in the front lines, singing, “Dare me. Dare me.” But these things take time love. These things take backbone. And they’ll tell you what you want to hear ’cause they think it’s better. Better. But you better know how to point out the liars. You’ve got to weigh your wars make sure you’re not fighting for nothing. Nothing. Are you fighting for nothing, nothing? It feels like this world has been growing slowly upside down. Maybe I should move to China, and straighten this mess out. Maybe I’ll be a poet. Watch all the sky for falling words. And write about my grandma’s curtains, or the lady who put the Chinese buffet in her purse. I’ve got my mouth. It’s a weapon. It’s a bombshell. It’s a cannon. I’ve got my words. I won’t give them mercy, mercy! But these things take time love. These things take backbone. And they’ll tell you what they want to hear ’cause they think it’s better. Better. But you better know how to point out the liars. You’ve got to weigh your wars make sure you’re not fighting for nothing. Nothing. Are you fighting for nothing, nothing? I’ve got my words. I hope they hurt you. I hope they scar you. I hope they heal you. I hope they cut you open, Make you see you’ve been warring for all the wrong reasons. Make you see that some things are worth bruising for. Make you see that your name is your honor code. Make you see that your hands you’re accounted for. Pick and choose where your sweat and your blood will go. Make you see your life’s not to be lived alone. Run their spit through your hair, you’re worth nothing. Nothing. But these things take time love. These things take backbone. And they’ll tell you what you want to hear ’cause they think it’s better. Better. But you better know how to point out the liars. You’ve got to weigh your wars make sure you’re not fighting for nothing. Nothing. But these things take time love. These things take backbone. And they’ll tell you what you want to hear ’cause they think it’s better. Better. But you better know how to point out the liars. You’ve got to weigh your wars make sure you’re not fighting for nothing. Nothing. Are you fighting for nothing, nothing? |

| A Fine Frenzy – The Beacon Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Makes me cry. Sings to my soul | |
| The Meg And Dia Band – Kiss You Goodnight Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Why has no one commented on this? It's beautiful, poetic... I love it. I'm also pretty sure it's "wake you up" not "make you up". | |
| A Perfect Circle – Rose Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This song means a lot to me. I relate it to an internal form of abuse, depression and anxiety, but it can also easily be related to drugs/abuse/etc. | |
| Tool – Sober Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
This song is about self hate. Maybe the drugs/woman/religion/whatever caused the self-hatred, but this song is definitely about hating oneself. "I will only complicate you trust in me and fall as well" He's saying here, basically, that he fucks everything/everyone up. He wants people to stay away from him because he's not worth it, and he hurts people unintentionally. "I will find a center in you I will chew it up and leave" |
|
| Renfue – This Moment Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I agree that it's about watching someone you love pass away, but I think it's more about something that happens in an instant... "Here comes the light fast down the road There's music in the air Soundtrack to the end" That just reminds me of a car crash, or of someone getting run over. |
|
| Renfue – I've said too much Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
God... I love this song! It's dark yet beautiful, and so full of meaning. I'm so glad I found this band. As for the meaning, I think it's about her being afraid to be who she truly is. I think the mask slipped and it scared her, and that's what the song is about. |
