Kings of Convenience – Power Of Not Knowing Lyrics 16 years ago
I agree with you for the most part, Haruki, although I believe that the guy is the same age but more mature in a way ("our bigger blessing, girl, is being young")--I think he is more self-aware than the girl, who is only eager to grow up, and realizes that their youth is a gift, that being immature is nothing to be ashamed of when you're young, because experience is what furthers the process of learning. His self-awareness, which the girl interprets as him being mature, disarms her and makes her anxious to grow up, but it only managed to make her lose what used to make her special.

This is a beautiful, beautiful song. It paints such a vivid picture in my mind of the parting scene.

Belle & Sebastian – Wrapped Up in Books Lyrics 16 years ago
This song kind of reminds me of my going off to college to leave my then-boyfriend. There was to be a change in the cards (us living very far away from each other) and even though we got along perfectly well, breaking up was the right thing to do because our aspirations were "wrapped up in books", and even though we never fought we knew in the backs of our minds that it was the smart thing to do.

Sondre Lerche – Heartbeat Radio Lyrics 16 years ago
@katelung Personally I hear "You're wearing out my favorite song", and I think it makes sense. "Wearing out" the song means having to hear it so many times that it seems old to you, which reduces the song's appeal even though you still actually like it.
