Foo Fighters – Monkey Wrench Lyrics 16 years ago
I dunno exactly how the monkey wrench/being a tool theme relates to what Dave said about being the cause of all the problems in a relationship. But the best I could do is, he feels like he's the person trying to fix what's wrong in the relationship (so in that sense he's a "tool", used to fix things) yet he's the problem in the first place so if he just left nothing would be broken and she wouldn't need a monkey wrench to solve the problem.

Chevelle – Shameful Metaphors Lyrics 16 years ago
I think Throwdown's interpretation is excellent; I also think the human communication/issues with relating messages to people, trouble being heard, etc. works well, though I don't quite understand how that would fit into the "metaphor" part of it... ?
I find Chevelle's lyrics hard to interpret a lot of the time because it's like I'm back in English class in high school lol, I sucked at this stuff.
Pete's a genius when it comes to lyrics and guitar. Chevelle probably go into my top 5 favourite bands.
btw - first verse definitely fits perfectly into the clairvoyance concept. Did they actually say that's what it's about? Haven't looked into that.

Garbage – Betcha Lyrics 16 years ago
This is not only genius but unlike the Pussycat Dolls, Shirley is actually hot.

And about the "bleeped" out word - it is bleeped on the original track, not censored or anything. Which I originally thought it was when i first heard this song and got really pissed about lol. I guess it's up for interpretation.
Anyway like most Garbage b-sides (and Garbage songs in general) this is major pwnage. :)
