i think kurt hated this song because it showed how desperate he was to meet somonne else in the world like him. the song from the beggining to "is it me or my attitude" is about how he writes songs and how he is just differant. then from if "you want to belong" to "unto me" is kurt calling people (if there is any) that are like him to come to him. then the last part of the song is how he will wait and go through pain to meet somone like him. and what he means by asylum in the end is people might think this person is insane like they did kurt |

i think its about his heroin addiction. neither side is sacred no one wants to win: neither quitting or staying on heroin is going to turn out well and no one really wants to win the battle of addiction. feelin so sedated i think ill just give in: saying quiting is making him sick and hell just do it again. taking medication until our stomachs full: trying alot of medication to quit. neither side is sacred crawling in my hole: hes goin to go back into his comfort place( heroin). and the chorus is just about why he likes heroin and what it does for him. thiss song is brilliant |
