I-5 is the name of a major freeway that runs by the town they're from, I can imagine that "the five" is meant to identify it as a symbol of home, especially given the music video's scenes shot by the roadside. A little late, but hope this helps! |

While this may have a religious meaning, I see it as a thanks to his wife/girlfriend for saving him from the life he was living. The line "Why in the world did you come after me?" is likely referring to a girl that wanted to be with him, even though he couldn't understand why, given his imperfection. |

I think this song could be interpreted in two ways. Number one being that he regrets not sharing God's word with others, because he was too afraid. He had many chances, but now they are gone and he wants another chance. Secondly, that he met someone he liked, but was too afraid too take it any further. In all of his opportunities he was "a stone frozen in place." The first one is more likely though since he says "where will THEY go" meaning he has done it multiple times. |

First look at the line before it that goes "If weakness is a wound, no one wants to speak of." From what I can understand, its saying we all have problems, but for the most part keep them secret. Using this knowledge, the line "then cool is just how far we have to fall" could mean that our reputation (cool) is what is holding us back from confessing, because what we hide might lower others opinions of us.
