The line that ALWAYS stands out to me from this song is "this paper trail leads right back to you" which I can totally relate with. I always take that to be that someone has been such a big part of your life, that when you try and let them go and not think about them you find it impossible because you have letters and pictures and emails and whatever from them and it's literally a "paper trail" that always leads you right back to that person.

This song is tooooo good. It's my favourite off the new album. "I'd like to map your body out..." amazing lyrics. And yeah...I immediately thought that with the bare ankles which used to be considered shocking. I didn't actually particularly think that it was sex with someone you don't know...I took it to seem a bit more intimate than that, like sex with a friend or something. Not that it comes through from the song, I just thought of it like that when I first heard it. Probably something to do with the admiration that comes through in the chorus of taking the time to map someone's body out and know every part of it. It seems like that wouldn't necessarily be about someoen you didn't know. But that's just what I think.

For me, this song pretty much just sums up how I felt about this guy and the complete unbearable and endless feelings I had for him...hence the apt repetition of "let me out" which fit my situation well. And also the nice angry swearing which let me express a little bit of anger, which is always fun. |

Ahaha. I completely agree with you! I was reading all the comments about this song being about him wanting more from a friendship and thinking "err hello, he just wants some lovin' with someone other than Gwyneth" and it made me happy to see someone else thought this too. |
