agreed...one of my favorite songs they do yeah, i think that there was once something between these two. then, one left and one was hurt. as time passes, one realize what they had and tries to return. it now stands where one is trying to convince the other what they had was great and give another chance. how does it end?...hmmm, good one, no clue. can one truely love the same after being wronged? can one really forgive and forget?...be oblivious to the past...exist within the oblivion? |

my take on this song is that the singer is in love with a woman that he sees on the subway ride home from work. they haven't meet and she knows nothing of his profound love...yet. i'd guess he's trying to summon the courage to say something, but too scared to do anything, except maybe get close enough to see what she's reading or listening too. she gives him strength to make it through the day, in fact, until the next day when they "meet" again. the rest is him fantasizing on how great he could love her. nice thought, however, in reality, she's probably weirded out by this guy staring at her on the subway everyday. great song....reminds me of a scene from The Fisher King movie |

lol...horselights...that's funny i'd guess this girl has had some trouble in the past and the singer is trying to help her through it. the future is bright, let's move on, start taking responsiblity and get going (with the singer) fav line..."forgive unexplained lacerations"...had some of those, and how comforting it would be to have someone say that to you and not judge you... ...still laughing at the horselights |
