i relate so much to this one. one of the best in my opinion. sometimes a person doesn't have to be bad, or mess up... sometimes they just don't get it. don't get the things you do, like, feel, think... they just don't get you. i've been in a lot of situations like that and jumped a lot of fences getting away from good people because they didn't undderstand me. it happens and when it does sometimes you just want to get away, leave town, see something unfamiliar that makes sense... to me, that's what what happened here "i don't mean to pin this one on you darlin'/it's time i found something good/when it comes right down you're just one of many people that never really understood" then other times, when you do get away, you have to touch something familiar... hence the early phone call... there are times when all we want to do is get away... only to find that we were supposed to be where we were to begin with all along... if that makes any sense... even if it doesn't, that's what it means to me... this is probably one of my top 5 favorite thinking songs. good to drive to when alone... never listen to it when i'm around people... |

clearly not bedlight's most popular, but... when i first got the cd i was going through a bad breakup the guy had completely ditched me and i was heartbroken, then i heard these lines you are all i want you are my every reason i am seething but baby you don't seem to care and it fit my situation so well... he didn't care and i was burning... so i listened to bedlight let it soothe me and i felt better i remember driving down the road and screaming along with them and i felt free, but then their music has that affect on me always... at least Christian's does... favorite singer of all time definitely |

danny said the song was about christian in an interveiw...don't remember where i saw it. i think the title is a direct hit at him christian always ended anything addressed to his fans with "without you i am nothing" i'm pretty sure it's a play on that. "We knew something wasn't right First time we saw that look in your eyes" i think that line is a hit at Christian's bipolar disorder either way this song angers me more than the fact that danny seems to think Ligeia is a poem ( it's a story by Poe and there is a poen in it but it's referred to cas the conquerer worm and it's obvious he's never read either of them) kind of ironic that they should put this song on the album they release right before they break up. guess things weren't quite so bright after the dawn... |
