This song is truly epic. To me it seems to go through various stages of a breakup... self pity, anger, nostalgia, acceptance. This album is interesting in the way that they usually don't make the song very obvious, you have to listen and think about the lyrics and see what they tell you |

The whole album follows a very anti-religious theme, however in most cases it is fairly subtle. You really have to listen to the lyrics to pick up on it for the most part. Its amazing how bands grow and evolve, and just like COG and The Butterfly Effect, Karnivool have really come into their own as one of the great Australian bands. Its interesting, lots of people know of and like them, but you will never hear one of their songs on commercial radio. Maybe thats a good thing though, we get to keep all the goodness to ourselves :) |

I agree, He has been waiting for 'god' (although they never say "god") to change his life, "I'm so sick of waiting, i've been waiting my whole life" Its time to take your life out of 'gods' hands and put it into your own. |

Been watching Zeitgeist? :P But yes, I agree with everything you have all said so far. "these words won't help to save you" is a fairly obvious line in regards to it being anti-religion |
