The lyrics to the whispered part in the background that you are talking about are: (Death inside of me, keeps a diligent watch on everything. Keeps a terrible hold on my belief. Just waiting for the moment when I...) Feel You Die!! |

I think the ending is either: "try to recover, we have to recover; as we crash one after the other" or "try to recover, what's left to recover; as we crash one after the other" |

---So how can I Forget the way you led me through the path into heaven, To leave me behind --- I think this may be a reference to Dante's Divine comedy; and more specifically to Dante's Inferno. In Dante's Inferno, the main character in the poem is to be led to heaven , but he must pass through hell to get to heaven. Basically what it means in the song is that someone was leading him to heaven, and then left him behind along the way (in Hell) |

You can also interpret it the other way though if the true lyrics are "I won't make the greatest sacrifice" Meaning he wont sacrifice his individuality and personality to fit in with the crowd. The loss of individuality could be seen as the greatest sacrifice. It makes sense in context to the chorus too. "The thing I treasure most in life, cannot be taken away There will never be a reason why I will surrender to your advice" The thing he treasures most in life is the fact that he is himself and refuses to conform to the group, and he won't sacrifice that, he would rather die. I think it makes sense anyway, what do you think? |

"And the deaf mute is misleading the choir" This line stands out to me as a reference to Bush. He is deaf in the sense that he didn't seem to have any clue what was going on. If you were deaf you would have no idea what was happening in a choir. And he's mute in the sense that he lacks the ability to communicate (Bush-isms). Misleading the choir is a reference to how he led America in a completely wrong direction. This is just my interpretation of it though. Love the new album :D |
