Ah maaaan. This is so out of this world. It takes a different kind of faith in God to be able to praise him from the bottom of your heart and declare His love and Goodness when around you everything's crumbling and the people you love are dying. Then again the Bible says that His love is made perfect in our weakness. :) |

a few minor errors in these lyrics: "They're only making beds for themselves, selves are very very selfish.." and "so watch your mouth..." |

"we'll cry tonight but in the morning we are new"
I think this line is based on "sorrow lasts for the night but joy comes in the morning" or words to that effect. This such an uplifing song <3 Ariiiiiiiiiise! |

the right arm thing...is based on what Jesus said: if your right arm causes you to sin, cut it off, coz it's better to go to heaven with one arm than to be in hell with both. and yeah, this song's about sexual imorality |

ahhhhhhh Love this song!
The more I listen to it, the more of it I think I understand. Would I be right in thinking this song's about the unending love that God has for us that no one (no matter how close they are to us) can match? I think she's also talking about how people/friends/lovers sometimes leave you when things go pearshaped.
The "I saw the queen.." bit could be about her looking up to/loving someone who did not return her affection.
Either way, awwwwwwshum song :D |

I think also the bit where he says "Old friends we used to talk..." is referring to how he used to talk to fans after shows. He's being completely honest saying "was I really listening? was I just waiting for my turn to talk" (coz when we're talking to people we don't usually stop and wonder if they're really listening or they're just waiting to speak, ya know?) and as a lyricist he has everything to say. For me this song is them saying bye in a way. I think the chorus hints that they're young and they want to do other stuff. The "round and round we go ( I know you hate the sound but baby I just can't stop)" bit might be referring to people's reaction on the changing sound of As Cities Burn. And my favourite line, "hold your head up for the world to spin around" might be directed at fans: they're just a band and the world won't end if they break up (it keeps spinning).
Anyway that's my mini essay |

I think that a lot people think they don't need God because they feel like they're so in control of life - but they're not - and it's only when they stumble across things bigger than them they call upon God. I don't know the exact meaning of this song, or what was going through Regina's mind when she wrote it, but I think this song might be her way of telling people to really think about whether they believe in God or not. |
