Fairly straightforward lyrics. We as people will never be able to reach our full potential because no matter which country is the "leader" of the world there will still be wars fought for no reason. Global powers have come and gone throughout the course of history and we haven't learned from their mistakes. I love the lyric, you and me fall in line to be punished for unproven crimes. People will almost always believe what propaganda is thrown in front of them by their own country and then when it's revealed they were wrong it's ultimately the people who must pay the price for their leaders' mistakes. |

Saw them play this live and that's what got me hooked on this song. The recorded version needs the violin parts a bit louder IMO, as it was awesome in person. I don't think the song has anything to do with her being pregnant. She gets this guy hooked on being with her, sleeping with her, and tells him it's ok to "come inside" even though he was hesitant... "Is something the matter?" Now she has him trapped... "You will learn in due time." I think ultimately she is trying to get her lover to kill her husband for his hefty insurance policy... "well accidents happen". If he doesn't comply, she will claim she was raped since he "came inside". Now he's lost all hope of living a normal life. |
