I like the cheerleader part because it's kind of what the song is about, stereotypically, don't you think? Cheerleaders or teenage girls in general are all about getting vengeance on eachother by talking shit. "I'll make up things so everyone hates you" Makes sense, no? |

Manson is one weird dude. lol I think that he uses his initial lyrics to kind of freak us out. As in the public. Then he has hidden messages or stories in his lyrics that we can kind of find. lol like Reflecting God is kind of a message of how the human race is helping destroy itself but on the outside, it just seems like he's calling himself God. |

I went into Hot Topic and I wasn't sure whether this album would be any good so I checked it out. This was the song that I heard and I got goosebumps! I think that it's great and I totally agree with the comments before me. Great opening and even thought it's quite annoying, I think that I like the sudden ending. It probably has some sort of symbolism that just goes waaay over my head. I admit the 1st time I heard the ending I was like wtf?! |

I was thinking that this was about this guy's lover or friend who died. And I think that all of the first two lyrics are symbolic of how he's trying to get over her and how he's been striving to go on through life without her. but it won't work. He said that he "WANTS to take [her] home" but he can't. and as far as the puppeting goes, that's when he's trying to get back to the way things were. and then it kind of reflects his anger towards the pharmeceutical companies because that would be how she died. like an overdose?

I like calic0misfit's idea.
First of all, the official lyrics are indeed wrong and his lyrics are accurate.
Second, I do think that it's a song of vengeance and hatred. The music doesn't exactly fit the description of sad. It's a bit somber in the beginning but the tone of it becomes very sharp and a tad hateful. So I think that they got into a fight over something such as her cheating on him and as she hastily left, she dropped her pills for some disease that she has. And I think that he found out this way.
So I think that she called to tell him that she was dying and she needed her pills to hang on, but he won't give them back. It seems like that to me. He wants her to die for putting him into so much pain. And also I'm guessing that she has AIDs or something which would make it even more ironic. Since she cheated on him and probably got them in that act. |
