| I think it might be something like children watching parents fighting, like some domestic abuse with the mother getting hurt, hence later on they're looking for their motherly comfort and turn to drugs. Definitely seems like something like that, a cycle of drugs and violence. | |

I'd say this song is extremely relevant now with Iraq since 2003, the pressure on Iran now, and on Yemen. "Mass Graves for the pump" doesn't necessarily have to be about people dying in military war, but also people dying in economic wars for oil. To me originally the- "Who controls the present now controls the past" Was saying that whoever controls the present can control what is said/taught about the past, but now I guess that was probs incorrect. |

It's about being bored in the lesson/daydreaming in the lesson, and getting called lazy by the teachers and stuff, but there's no point because you don't really give a crap because the stuff they're teaching is complete crap-if they shout at you you're just gonna make the words go over your head. I don't get why people can't find the album-it's sold in HMV over here in the UK(probably the main record store here). My fave green day album no doubt whatsoever. The thing bout his future's aims is just the school trying to get him to do a certain kind of job..it's fairly self-explanatory anyway.. |
