it's some powerful all-pupose cleaner...which is awesome of him (them?) putting some in the teacher's coffee!! (so I still feel (a little!!) sorry for the teacher...) it's okay not to know!!!!(i didn't either until i discovered that song...i was feeling so stupid...until i found out that people around me didn't not it either then i just decided to SEARCH the meaning... i typed 409+all purpose on Google (cause i knew it was something all pupose but didn't know what EXACTLY...) actually, the title of this song comes from mike and billie joe putting 406 in there teachers coffeemaker i belive.
i got the impressions, while sitting in math class bored out of my mind, that he wrote this song about being bored in class, and the teacher's words just flying over him and no matter how much they yell at him to do his work, he doesnt, and his talents are wasting away, being controlled by chains, the chains that control his future's aim..which is, being a rock star.
this song has two meanings the first one is just about daydreaming since all of the green day members love to daydream the second meaning is just how billie joe put 409 in his teachers coffee maker....which i would love to do someday.......
