| Apoptygma Berzerk – Rollergirl Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I can't believe no one said anything about this song. So underrated. I personally love it. I kinda feel is a song about someone who falls in love with a prostitute.. But I'm not even sure :P |

| I knew that too. | |

I think this song is amazing. Just have to say that. "The sun was cold the day before you came" something every girl wants to hear. |

| Silversun Pickups – It's Nice to Know You Work Alone Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Im not really sure what this is about, I agree with many of your interpretations.. but its sounds like the person is singing it, is very hurt by everything that surrounds him. I think its ironic when it says "It's nice to know you work alone", cause its sounds lonely :P And I find funny how it says "Sit back and breathe" when before he said that "all the air is wrong". How can you breathe it if its wrong? |

| De/Vision – Until The End Of Time Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I think this song is beautiful and horrible at the same time. Still can't finish to explain what it means. | |
| VNV Nation – Beloved Lyrics | 15 years ago |

This song for me its obviously about the death of someone you really love. It makes me cry every time I hear it, it's perfect. |

| Blue October – Calling You Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I dont really think its an obsessive lovesong :P I think its about a guy with low self-steem that started a new relationship with a girl that lives or is far away from him for some reason... So he keeps calling her to see how she feels, if she's lonely, or if she misses him. I think its lovely. He tries to cheer her up, even when he misses her so bad. |
|
| Robbie Williams – She's The One Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Personally, I dont think it is. I understand where you see it, but I think its too lovely to be about drugs anyway :P | |
| Emilie Autumn – Thank God I'm Pretty Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I dont know if she's saying that is wrong being pretty. I think she's talking about sexual harassment, and how womans are understimated for being womans. Like if all you can do is being a whore or something like that. | |
| Assemblage 23 – Ground Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I think the same. The acoustic version of this songs calms me down everytime I panic about something, every time I cant stop crying, its there to pull me up and remember myself to breath. I love this song. I dont even have enough words to describe what it means to me. |

| Wolfsheim – Care for You Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I think more of a couple.. that have hurted each other a lot.. and he loves her, but he knows he can't take care of her without hurting her.. So he let her be free to find someone else who takes care of her. (Sorry for my english :P) |

| Regina Spektor – Folding Chair Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I think, as many have said before me, that this song is about enjoying simple things in life. I think her boy sometimes is really worry about... well, about the things we all worry sometimes, job, profesion, money, getting new stuff, things we dont really need, but we desperatly want, and that sometimes we get sad when we dont get it. So she just tries to make him feel happier, to make him understand that you can live happy with the simple things in life, like sitting in front of the sea, and have a baby, and a lovely family, and just living simple and with the heart. I think the line "I have a perfect body 'cause my eyelashes catch my sweat", besides of being really feminist, is about being happy with the things we have. Instead of saying "Im not perfect, i should be thinner or taller or etc" she's feeling beautiful 'cause her body functions the way it should. About the "can't see my eyes" line, I also thought it was because she was under an umbrella.. and she's saying to him, "relax for a while, bring your folding chair under my umbrella, hold my hand, and smile" She asks him to be as happy as he can, at least until the moment he realizes that he doesnt need anything but that moment to be happy. Im not really sure though how this makes sense in all that.. "Now I've been sitting on this abandoned beach for years, waiting for the salty water to cover up my ears But every time the tide come in to take me home I get scared. I get scared NOW I'm sitting here alone dreaming of the dolphin song." |

| Btw, sorry for my english, im from Argentina. | |

I actually agree with sunshine_umbrella. I think this song has a great and big message hidden in the simplicity of a beutiful song. This song, from my point of view, is a critic to the contemporary society, and the way we let ourselves drown into the images of "success" and the images of heros. I think she says that we need to get power, that we know that society must take control, and people must say no to domination, but at the same time, we're all so comfortable that we decide not to, we prefer to distract ourselves with things that bring us pleasure. And i think that this really has a lot to do with changes that are happening in this society. We're slowly realizing of this things and taking control... So shes saying to the ones that are numbed "Hey, open wide, here comes the original sin", by meaning that there are people willing to take the knowledge and the power its needed to change the world. I really think she's doing a critic to society and to the loneliness we all live in.. Being together, but complete on our own..Believing that we're not. Fooling ourselves. [ "And we're going to this meetings, but aint doing any meetings" - "We're traying to be faithful but we're cheating" Cheating ourselves. ] |

| I read the same. It's a sad story really. But a lovely song. | |
| Black Kids – Partie Traumatic Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I love it when it says "This jungle is massive, so please don't be so passive. Be aggressive, impress us and they will get the message" That's the way we all should be. I love it. So strong. |

| Poets Of The Fall – Illusion & Dream Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Hi, I'm from Argentina too, and I know is hard to say what we think :P. Anyway, I've been reading songmeanings for a few months and I NEED to tell my opinion about Poets of the Fall. I think that you're right, that this song is about how gobernments and powerful people in general control our opinions and how they sell us illusion and dreams. But somehow, this song makes me thing of someone that, even when he realizes that he's been lied to, he prefers to live inside that lie. |
