I think this is about someone falling away from the faith. When you beleive in God without really getting a clear picture of the world it can be pretty heavy when it all hits you at once. This can easily crush ones faith. Thinking that all they had beleived about God was a lie and that he might not even exist. Its hard when one's faith is challenged especially when they beleived for shallow reasons. One may feel that God deceived them or that they don't deserved to be so crushed for beleiving. The faith burns. Then the victim is affraid to beleive again because they don't want to get crushed again. When one comes to understand that they had mis-interperted the faith then they may not want to embrace it for what it really is. A lesson never learned. So basically what I think it is saying is haveing your faith crushed and not wanting to embrace it again out of fear of the past. Letting it burn and not returning to it.

The song is saying that when you sin or fail or do something you wish you hadn't you shouldn't let the guilt and pain destroy you. You should stand up and try to do better tomarrow rather than lie in fear of yesterday. |

Its about christians going with the world and only taking what they want to take away from the Bible and neglecting what does not please them. I also beleive that tim is screaming about how many christians kind of go with the world and just do whatever they do to fit in. Cuz really, if we are suppose to be lights unto the world how can we sucseed if we do the exact same things they do. "if we have chosen to live against the grain than why are we all faceing the same way". Its true, don't let the world get the best of you. |

I am geussing that this song is aobut how so many people know whats good and yet they do whats wrong anyway and like it. Evil is suductive. We love it and we hate it. Temptation always make nasty things look good from the outside. Untill you come within the inside than all turns to rotten beauty. We make up our own lies and love them. Often at first it seems to be the amswer out however once you keep seeing the evil mess you get yourself into the drama only gets worse. |

This song is basicley telling the youth to recklessley go against the world and rebel against the drugs and immoral stuff that has cunsumed the mind of the youth. "Nothing left to lose" means that since the youth don't have to worry about money or family and we are aleady lectured and pounded by the outside world and everything has beentaken from us. We fall and fail. We pretty much suck as it is. So why not use that as motivation to "Break the rules but don't play the fool" |
