I love, love, love this song. The parlotones is one of my favourite S.A. bands.
This particular song is about a rather unpoplar person who lives in his own fantasy world and sometimes (accidentally of course) confuses it with the real one and then gets made fun of because of it.
Kind of sad really. |

This song is so funny. it kina sounds to me like it's about a loopy guy who constantly dones blood and doesn't fully grasp what it is exactly the doctors do with it, thinking that they're actually blood-drinkers. I don't think I'm that far off seeing as the whole album has the whole "the patient" theme. But that's just the way I see it. I guess it could also have a deeper meaning, like the pressure and demand of the music industry, but I like the wacky explanation better. |

The first time I heard this song was when we did a contemporary dance piece on it. I have to admit I kind of liked it. Why hasn't anybody else commented on this song yet,though? I think this song is about someone who is running away, trying to prove that they can make it on their own. |

Hey curiousgeorge. I kind of like your whole view on the song. I read the lyrics again and decided that you're not a complete crazy person. As for book worm kid. Dude. Of course the Lord only takes his followers into heaven. You don't seriously think that someone like Robert Mugabe will go to heaven when he dies, do you? Hey, this song kind of sounds like its written for our new president, the infamous Jacob Zuma, from a white person's point of view.. (Honestly I don't know how they put a monkey like that in parliament).
I mean, "Were all grieving, lost and bleeding". yeah we are. "All our lives we've been waiting for someone 2 call our leader. All ur lies, I'm not believing." Could it be more relevant. Our country hasn't had a good, non-corrupt president since Nelson Mandela. Everyone knows he is nothing but a crook.
If anyone has any idea what goes on in my country, they'll understand why I'm writing this.
P.s. Yhis is an awesome song. It's one of my favourites on this album. |

This is SO James' song. Just like full moon is Jacob's song and decode is Bella's.
I also think that "super massive black hole" could be Edward's song Bv. "I thought I was a fool for no-one, but
baby I'm a fool for you" or in the beginning when it goes "baby don't you know I suffer, but could you heal me more"
or something like that. But I don't know. I could just be crazy. Either way. The songs chosen are extremely well
picked and very relevant.
