dave mustaine did have a hard time with drugs and addiction at one time, but he never tried to o.d. on anything. plus this song was written after mustaines dad died, and i believe it was a song that he wrote to express his feelings. |

in my opinion (perhaps only MY opinion) this song is talking about how life can make you feel like a ton of pressure is weighing down on your shoulders, and allyou wanna do is not feel anything anymore, cuz then you are comfortably numb, also in my opinion, he is talking about how drugs can help (or at least feel like they help) ease your pain, and take off all of the pressure and stress. and to you mr BradNZ pink floyd did a LOT of drugs- come on, just watch the movie the wall and tell me they weren't tripping balls. they also smoked a LOT of weed. |
