| i have been a true parrot head since i could walk, and i would go to concerts on my daddys shoulders at age 4 and know every word to every song there, and i wasnt shy to sing along. my father would sing this to me when we would go to our florida house from new jersey, he told me it was my song :] my and jimmy buffet's daughter, savannah jane, who this song was ritten about, share a birthday of the same year, so when it came out, my dad told me it was for me haha. i have been a little parrot head since i was first able to walk and i used to go to Jimmy Buffett concerts on my daddys shoulders with mi grass skirt and i bet you anything i new the words to more songs at age 5 then most of the adults at the concert, and i was not shy about singing along:] at 15 now, i am happy to say that i still have every song by Jimmy on my iPod and im going to my 12th concert next month. this song has always been one of my faves, its sad that it has kinda slid under the deck, cuz its a greaaat song. its a true buffet anthem just chillin and goin where the wind takes you. xox |

when he says blame it on Marilyn and the heroine where were the parents at, he is talking about the kids from the colombine shootings. they wore trench coats and where copying manson. he is saying that people are blaming it on drugs and someone else, when really these people are responsible for ther own actions. its rediculous and eminem is smart to notice that. and he is also saying that things get way more publicisiced when they happen to upper class, suburban places, with kids with rich parents and the fortunate ones, cuz had the columine shootings happened in, say, detroit city, no one would be tallking about the 10th anniversery now. eminem is god. |
