Little Miss Magic Lyrics
She's constantly amazed by the blades of
the fan on the ceiling
And the funny little faces she makes
can't help but be appealing
She loves to ride through the town with the top down
Feel the warm breeze on her gentle skin
She is my next of kin
Chorus
I see a little more of me everyday
I catch a little more moustache turning grey
Your mother is the only other woman for me
Little Miss Magic what you gonna be?
Sometimes I catch her dreaming and wonder
where that little mind meanders
Is she down along the shore or
strolling cross the broad Savannah's
I know in time she'll learn to make up her own mind
In time she's gonna learn to fly
Oh that I won't deny
Chorus
the fan on the ceiling
And the funny little faces she makes
can't help but be appealing
She loves to ride through the town with the top down
Feel the warm breeze on her gentle skin
She is my next of kin
I see a little more of me everyday
I catch a little more moustache turning grey
Your mother is the only other woman for me
Little Miss Magic what you gonna be?
where that little mind meanders
Is she down along the shore or
strolling cross the broad Savannah's
I know in time she'll learn to make up her own mind
In time she's gonna learn to fly
Oh that I won't deny

i have been a true parrot head since i could walk, and i would go to concerts on my daddys shoulders at age 4 and know every word to every song there, and i wasnt shy to sing along. my father would sing this to me when we would go to our florida house from new jersey, he told me it was my song :] my and jimmy buffet's daughter, savannah jane, who this song was ritten about, share a birthday of the same year, so when it came out, my dad told me it was for me haha. This song has lulled me to sleep many times. i am proud to say he still sings it to me, at age 15 now, and i will be going to my 12th concert this summer :]
I am really surprised that there hasn't been anyone to put a post on this song. When I was a little girl my father would tell me that we would dance to this song at my wedding. I am the first born and for some reason this song has always had a special connection with us. It's a beautifully written and sang song.
this is so great to see that i'm not the only girl in the world whose daddy sang this song to! my parents are such huge parrot heads, i was even named after jimmy buffetts daughter, savannah jane (also my first and middle names) this song still gets to me all choked up and my dad and i will dance to this song at my wedding too!
