Further Seems Forever – On Legendary Lyrics

this song is about God. you can disagree with me, but im pretty sure the original intent was to be a to God.
luke 6:19 -> and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all.
this probably goes with the "arms outstretched so long" and themes of grace in this song. |

As Cities Burn – Daughter Lyrics

yea smoke signals i totally agree with you. the song is definitely about lust. the first and 2nd to last verse talk about our lust and how we just want 'all she has to show' while the 2nd verse contrasts with how God loves his daughter no matter what. the innocence verse talks about people's inevitable exposure to porn, sex, etc. the chorus questions how people became so lustful. |

references shakespeare's comedy 'as you like it' with the "all the world's a stage" part of the song. the song's meaning is pretty obvious. |

As Cities Burn – Made Too Pretty Lyrics

the one part is
'we don't want a god we don't see in ourselves don't see we're in need'
it goes more along the lines of pride and how christians are the body of Christ but only care about themselves.

it's talking about this people on t.v. that try to sell 'holy water,' blessings, etc. and then it talks about how they have nothing to say to them because they don't want to judge and how the love they have (from Christ) made them feel so good/clean/happy and the last two lines state how everyone can "get" the love by "buying" it. that's my view on it. |
