| tmj31206 i agree. people need to realize that this isn't about twilight, although it fits perfectly. this song hurts me deep inside. it's like a burning match inside my heart. i deeply care and love the most amazing guy in the whole world. he told me he loved me too. we had such great times. such great memories. so many laughs, that i will forever remember. and then it all crashed. life just got tought with everything. he told me he thinks he is not good enough for me. that i deserve better. i wish he could see himself in my eyes. i wish there was something to make him realize how much i love him, and how i would give anything for him. now, all i feel is emptyness. all i feel is time. time going by. and letting the emptyness sink me in. | |

i'm also clueless about what it means. All i know is that when he says: "Don't close your eyes. You might miss a shooting star. Oh, don't you know? If you fall asleep you'll lose everything that means anything to you. So don't you dare forget." it means that we shouldn't give up. And that life will have it's ups and downs, and will through us in different directions, but we just have to stick with it and keep trying. I think it's about taking things slow when it comes to trials and challanges, and when we do have those times we just have to keep going because there are more things in life than sadness. "But our wings only work when we are completely alone." means that there will be times in our life when we'll be alone, but those might be the greatest times of our life when we actually learn something. I might be wrong though. Never the less, I think that every line in this song has it's own different meaning that ties up in a beautiful song. :) |

| i think this song is about seeing greater things in life than what we as everyday people see. It really depends on our lifestyle, but i think that most of us never really appriciate what we have. It's about realizing what is truelly important in life, and what we should focus our attention on. I think the song is beautiful, and i don't consider it depressing at all. :) | |

| i absolutely adore the second verse, and agree with the meaning. :) It's just about eternal love, and dealing with things together. He is singing about how he will never stop loving her no matter what happens. Never the less, this song is certanly the most beautiful song i have ever heard. | |
