I agree with most of you all. but the line 'for the last time we slept together there was something that was not there' sleeping together is an intimate act we all know, but it could be that the last time that he spoke to her he said something that he didn't mean, we all think about what if these were the last words we said to our loved ones, those words could have had an affect on her. just a theory, but theory and saying the same thing a million times as to what this song means. Such a good song, you cannot ruin this song the arman van ..remix is great, the acoustic version is great the live camera phone versions on youtube are great. what a song if someone ever makes a deep documentary use this song. how good is bloc party. |

'his new found friends...come down his throat'"lick and kiss there necks" I think there are two metaphors in the first sort of paragraph the first one is with the 'new found friends..come down his throat' as gay as that sounds i think its about this guy making new friends and hes sort of the barney gumble of the group the absolute shit faced alchoholic who everyone laughs at when hes drunk of his face, and lick & kiss there neck i think is about the neck of the beer bottle. secondly the '1000 messages but not a soul in bed' hes getting a thousand messages from his new friends who want him to come out with him but hes having no luck with the ladies, because no one takes him seriously "just shout and shout" someones always shouting him drinks and by two hes getting loose "naked limbs" that either means that the only thing showing are his limbs and hes not getting any sex or its a metaphor for dancing and 'sweaty chest' you get sweaty when you dance or from throwing up. |

I enjoy this song. Ill give this thing a go "delivery reports have ruined mylife" hes finding it hard to communicate with others. I live in the worst suburb and get no reception on my mobile half my texts dont send haha. I honestly think this song is about the fear of rejection not as in going to pick up a hoozie but in society 'Sketchy motherfuckers's the word to 'sketch' means to draw something, as in a portrait it has to look like what you are drawing i.e drawing a bowl of fruit your not going to sketch it like picasso with triangles for oranges, the word sketch is in its pure form. 'I feel the nigga eyes they staring' black people are the biggest racist of themselves judgmentive sons of bitches who expect you to behave like every ghetto ass 'baller' on the planet and even if you do they'll still judge you, never happy. 'Why won't you do the work for me?' i cant figure that one out. magic song & i like how it translucence's into the next track. |
