Heh, it seems like we all have very different interpretations of this song, and for a while I was very confident about what I heard (but now I have my doubts). Here are the differences I hear though **who are you? (pronounced ya -) also this line is the same throughout the song common dust. ... **who are you **giving up? (pronounced givin' up) when the season ends **and the winter comes **breaking backs to them **is all we really are **who are you scared to trust? **who are you? dubious Also you still have one instance of "body making engine" in the second to last chorus even though it sounds different, I'm pretty sure he still says "money making engine" |

Quite a sad song, definitely about a relationship falling apart. Many back and forth confrontations, one person wants to make it work while the other has decided that their fling is over and they are not meant for one another. I think there is a small mistake in the lyrics, on the 2nd to last line in the 3rd verse. I'm pretty sure it should be Too late to return to the ones that you've **hurt Also elephant shell, He definitely says "leave things to change on their time" it makes perfect sense. Meric is saying we all take the path of least resistance, usually the apathetic and passive approach to the situation. Instead of taking action we would rather sit back and let things run their own course, or let a problem work itself out. |

Your lyrics differ a bit from what I hear, I could be wrong For the first verse: Most confident on the first line, I have no idea about the last line, I think we are both wrong. | I agree with panhose, I'm pretty sure its "walk right through it" instead of "walk crack through it". The 'k' sound you are hearing is just from the end of the word "walk" and also the subsequent vowel sound is definitely an 'i' and not an 'a' | |

Wow I submitted this forever ago and forgot about it, I just came back to this site looking for the lyrics again and disagreed with them. I was surprised when I noticed the username and realized I submitted those wrong lyrics years ago :P. Before I looked at your comment I made several of the changes you mentioned. I'm still iffy on the first verse though. |

Great song, I don't know about everyone else but I can't wait for this new album I think there are a few minor mistakes in the lyrics though 3rd line, 2nd verse -Say what you must while there's still a round Should be -Say what you must while we're still around Also in the first chorus Instead of -We never should have allowed another sun to set -On all the words that we have left til now Should be -We never should allow another sun to set -On all the words that we have held so long I could be wrong, but that's what I hear.
