| After the Burial – Your Troubles Will Cease and Fortune Will Smile Upon You Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
I think this song is about the modern society. I relate to this song a lot because I dread having to stuff up who I actually am so I can make profit for a business doing work I can't relate to. The music video definitely makes the meaning more evident. The contortionist refers to people filling whatever role in their career just to get by. They need to shape their personality, habits, and do unfulfilling paperwork to be more lucrative to the corporations above them. When he references mother and father, he's longing for that deep personal endearment and something most like himself, as opposed to the strange, corporate world around him that has been digitalized and has demeaned his own way of life. |

| Protest the Hero – Blindfolds Aside Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Everybody's pretty much said everything but there seems to be uncertainty about the A sin I didn't care for, but a sin that paid my debts A sin that fed my children and burned my smiles and cigarettes A sin I didn't care for, but a sin that paid my debts A sin that fed my children and burned my smiles and cigarettes part. It's Kezia talking/thinking about her crime, which was her prostitution to support her family. |

| Between the Buried and Me – Swim to the Moon Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
In my opinion, this is their best album. It's less earpounding metal like Colors, and more beautiful musicianship. I love metal, but this album just owns Colors. Every song extremely well written. And I may just be alone on this opinion, but Swim to the Moon is the greatest song I've ever listened to. |

| Between the Buried and Me – Disease, Injury, Madness Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think this song has nothing to do with religion/satan, I think it's evident it's about a man who is trying to end humanity for the good of the world. | |
| Between the Buried and Me – Fossil Genera - A Feed from Cloud Mountain Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
To me this song describes the Global Elite's domination. The "night owls" are symbolizing the Bohemian Grove, one of the faction's of the New World Order. The whole song is from their perspective, speaking to the mass population, describing that we need to trust them without limits or our safety will fall. This fear mongering is how they continue to operate. The end of the song is telling us, the people, how to take control of our oppressors and make the world a better place. By the way, I LOVE how in the beginning has the quirky honky tonky piano, which sounds very harmless until the menacing guitar comes in. This in itself is symbolism for the meaning of the song, how something so harmless looking can be the true evil. |

| Closure In Moscow – arecibo message Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Well the Arecibo message was something humans sent into space, like a message. And a filament is a term used in astronomy... I say this song has something to do with outer space, or the metaphor of outer space travel. Everytime I listen to the "precious little ones" chorus I think of Star Wars episode III when Anakin kills all the children. Good song though! |

| Bear vs. Shark – We Were Sad But Now We're Rebuilding Lyrics | 16 years ago |

| Bear vs. Shark – Buses/No Buses Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
yeah i think its about going to jail too. the whole stanza with "a single camera" just describes jail life. Imo, this is about someone going to jail, seeing people being sentenced to death, and deciding he needs to restart his life because he isn't a criminal |

| Bear vs. Shark – Michigan Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| possibly about someone who has distanced himself and wants to get closer to a person but is too meek or doesn't know how to so they just stare from a distance. | |
| Bear vs. Shark – Bloodgiver Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| the term four point stance refers to a football stance when you are on the line before the play starts... could be a symbol for anticipation, or preparation, or maybe trying to "charge" into a situation | |

| Bear vs. Shark – Second Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
BvS is seriously blowing my mind right now... definitely my favorite band. Lyrically just pure emotion. Gah. yeah this song is just what inhocsignovice said. I love the line "And after a while, when all your mistakes have been made and you've tasted the carbon dioxide." It's saying how one day all the corrupt people who live their lives in greed will get a taste of what they are doing to the world. Such a great metaphor! |

| Bear vs. Shark – Kylie Lyrics | 16 years ago |

It's definitely about a girl it seems. The last line is "Now you get what you deserve" not "How". |
