This song is great. I love how it accurately describes what a person would be going through both mentally and physically in such a horrid situation. My favorite part is the ending: "This chamber of liquefied humans that I have amassed is completed because i was last in line." You find out the person being submerged was the creator of the whole thing, including his own demise. Pretty cool twist I thought. |

This is probably my favorite Despised Icon song. From what I can tell, most of it is a metaphor about drinking in order to deal with depression: ------ The acid reflux in my throat hasn't appeased my taste for bitter blondes (beers) I've twisted so many necks (twisted bottle necks) and now their souls (alcohol inside) daily blind my mind (get him drunk) Your presence, I took for granted (alcohol was there so he used it) I deceived your confidence (kinda self explanatory) I'll kill again (open more bottles and drink)to lighten apathy towards me (to deal with emotional problems) The amazing brightness (I'm assuming the alcohol's ability to intoxicate) that makes you so precious and exceptional tears me apart (drinking all the time is ruining him) I feel remorse but unfortunate events (drinking all night) make my world uglier this morning (hungover) Repentance hurts (being hungover hurts) but not enough Let's start again tonight (start drinking again tonight) ------ The rest of the lyrics are pretty much either self explanatory or resemble something else. Very powerful song in my opinion. |
