I'm excited for this. Even if I didn't already love TDWP, I would buy this EP just because it's about zombies :)

I'm sorry, but why bother posting this when there's no lyrics?? It's a great song, but there's no lyrics.

Thousand Foot Krutch – My Home Lyrics 14 years ago
This song was written for his wife, Erin. He says it right in the DVD that came with the special edition of Flame. But, I initially thought it was about God, and realizing that one day you will be home... your REAL home.

Relient K – Which To Bury, Us Or The Hatchet Lyrics 14 years ago
I heard this song was about Katy Perry... his EX-girlfriend. (she was a christian artist before her recent "breakout" success, if you can believe it). They broke up in 2003, when this song came out. She was pissed about it and wrote "Ur so Gay".

but again, this is only information I've heard from Relient-K-addicts. I don't know how accurate it is, despite their vast collection of information they hold about their favourite bands.

Katy Perry – Ur So Gay Lyrics 14 years ago
dude. this song is about Matt Thiessen from Relient K... an ex-boyfriend of Katy's... and "Which to Bury, Us or the Hatchet?" is about her. The lyrics to this song simply skim the surface and are not about homosexuals or indie/emo/scene kids or society in general. No depth. She was pissed about the breakup and wrote this immature, bitchy "comeback" directly for him.

Thousand Foot Krutch – Bring Me To Life Lyrics 15 years ago
I think that this song is about how here on earth, we're not going to satisfied with the state of everything as is and that we can't make it on our own strength.

The song opens with the speaker coming to God, and then says "Everyone around here comes here feelin'/Fed up with the way their wounds are healin'". the song goes on to say, "Take me to a place where doors are open/A lovely little place where no one's broken", which obviously refers to heaven. He asks God to take him out of his hell into something worth living for.

The chorus just reflects asking God for strength to keep going and to get out of their "personal" hell or prison. "Bring Me to life/Breathe air into me". The aggressive repetition of the "Bring me to life" line shows the desperation of the speaker wanting to get out that hell/prison.

The second verse opens with the now revived speaker going to do what he set out to do. However, a personal storm/trial is attacking and trying to bring down the speaker, but he obviously stands his ground and continues on. The speaker thanks God in the bridge for his strength "You helped me figure out/That I could come to life and turn this thing around", but then comes the devil with an attack against him. He rebukes Satan over and over again, with the vocals growing more and more aggressive as he repeats the stanza.

The song then ends with the battle won and overcome.

The Send – Say Lyrics 15 years ago
I personally think that it's about God...
He could be referring to a time in his life when he was unsure of God, or he wasnt ready for a relationship like that with God. He wants to be with Him, but he "can't" have one yet.
He says "say to me you'll wait there forever"... which is rhetorical because obviously God is going to wait until he is ready to come to Him :)
GREAT SONG... get the album... AMAZING

FM Static – Take Me As I Am Lyrics 15 years ago
Well, as a counter-argument to that, I like to believe (and know to be true) that this is about God. Coming from a concept album, the main character (Aero) moves to a new town, meets a girl, this girl then shows him her beliefs and takes him to church. He then has some soul-searching to do. Then the girl's father commits suicide, putting faith in question for the both of them. The boy (Aero) then thinks that his faith can't grow in this type of situation. By the time "Take Me As I Am" comes around, the boy then realizes that his faith can grow.

now about the song...

This song is definitely about God, or meant to be about him. He was too scared to start believing, but now he definitely knows that he needs him (especially after what happened) and is too scared to let go of him.

Cheers

The Send – Blocking the Sun Lyrics 15 years ago
Ok... this song is about feeling alone is such a "go-with-the-flow" world. The city represents the urban population (go-with-the-flow people) and the buildings represent certain people who try to turn you away from God, the clouds represent the words they say... and of course the sun represents God. The Light. here we go:

"The city remembers me and I'm still alone
The skyline reminds me that I don't have a home"

People are looking at him differently and are probably treating him injustly because he is different. He can't find anyone else out there who is like him in this sea of people.. and feels alone. When he looks out into the horizon, he realizes that this is not his home and he shouldn't be there.

"You've been there patiently
You've been there..."

All the while, God has been there with him and even though sometimes it doesn't feel like it.

"Trust is a river
Moving, breaking
You move right through me
And I am waking
You have shown me truth through trust"

Trust is like a river... He realizes that God is the only one he can truly trust in this midst of all that is happening in the world. God moves right through him and he now knows truth rather than lies that have been given to him from the "city".

"The buildings are casting shadows and blocking the sun
The city is stretched for miles and I feel so small
The city remembers me and I'm still alone
The clouds all surround me turning
My heart into stone"

Certain people are trying to turn him into someone like them. They are also blocking his view of the light and putting him into a positiong where he can only trust whoever is talking to him. They are belittling him into becoming one of them... he is obviously outnumbered. Their words are "clouding" his vision and turning his heart into something it's not.

"So you know everything about me
And still you love me as I am
I can't change everything around me
But you can make me whole"

He comes to God and he obviously knows that God knows everything that happened to me... but yet God still loves him. He can try to change the "city" but may not be successful, but he knows that God can still make him whole again.

that's what I think the song is about. =D

Thousand Foot Krutch – Wish You Well Lyrics 15 years ago
This song is about God and what he would say to us. Clear as that. In the first verse, He knows that hardships will happen and he's warning him that it is going to happen, but he can't give him the answers to the problems... he has to find it himself. The chorus is God saying that:

"I wish you well on this trip to find yourself... wish I could help, but I can't help you find yourself"

The second verse comes after a hardship has come upon him. He loses his faith in God and isn't restoring that relationship with him, but is foreshadowing when he says "it's all gonna come back around"... life won't be like this forever

and then God is reminiscing their past in the bridge:

"And we were 16 at the time
Nothing could ever change our minds
We were one step below invincible
And we always fought it
You've never been the same
You were so scared to make a name
Then you threw it all away
And I wish you'd come back now"

He found God at the age of sixteen, and they were together for a time. They went through a lot together, in fact, their relationship was so strong, they were practically invincible. And then he moved away from God and went to other things and therfore wasn't acting like himself, and God misses having that relationship with him and he wants him to come back to him, thus the ending:

"Find yourself
I can't help you find yourself"

He wants that relationship to start up again that he says that he has to find himself again in order for that relationship to begin again.

WELL that's just what I picked up from reading that song. But I also thought of Dave Smith when I first heard the song... maybe Trev had Dave in mind when he was writing. Very good song. I love it <3
