Definitely a love song, but I think that it addresses the intensity of love. The pain of loving someone so much that they can't fathom it. The pain of not being able to express just how much you love someone, and that you can't be possibly closer than you are. The line "everyone is here, but you're nowhere near" seems like there is some sort of disconnect or something, like the other person will never be aware of able to comprehend the intense love that is felt. |

actually, the lyrics are a tiny bit off
"you want to wake me" is actually "you'll"
also, i know this is really minor but after the second "you want to be the one" there's a question mark. i know it's minor
"Like everything's great" is actually "like everything's got eyes"
I realize these are all pretty minute details, but I just wanted to throw it out there.

all wilco songs are like, incredibly sad. to me at least. the beats might be fun to listen to, but almost always, the lyrics are pretty painful. i'm not saying you're wrong, i'm agreeing with you 100% |

i can't believe this is up here, i've liked comrade for a good 2 or 3 years now, and haven't found lyrics of theirs besides on myspace. i've read reviews of their music on dallasobserver.com. I've even talked to some of hte band members, via internet. anyways, this was a pointless comment, because there is a possibility no one will read this. this is a fantastic song though, kudos Comrade. |
