I've almost always known that Family Force 5 was a Christian band but I know they have songs that aren't related to religion. It really hit me that this one was about God, and not just a pump-up party song, when it said "in fact it's sent from above" |

Man this song is great. It makes me wonder if it's an actual situation of theirs or not. I mean, there's always that one person that wants to talk smack and mess with people. The best thing to do to those people is to either toss 'em out or toss 'em in the pool to chill! |

I think this is one of the few songs not involving God that Family Force 5 has. Either way it's a great song and easy to enjoy. I love the smooth melody in particular. |

Ok, I like Nirvana but they are way overrated. Kurt was talking about being locked into his love with Courtney. Family Force 5's use of "heart shaped box" is completely different. He was talking about his batteries [of the heart] dying which is symbolic of how life wears you down until death without God. In other words, without God to "replace your batteries" you just have a dead heart ^.^ |

I agree with the rallying call statement Scot. And I personally thought that the... Oh, these soft legged girls And hard faced boys. They know no God, They have no voice. is describing the general population of teenagers. The girls are becoming more and more loose, while the guys are becoming more and more jaded and cruel. More and more people are claiming atheist views. And regardless of what many people say about religion, knowing of a God and an afterlife is a great hope-giver. IN short, it's talking about the lack of feeling and hope that the world has. A rallying call,to tell us we need to change some things. |

This song is perfect...see it describes my situation perfect. This won't be the most beautifully orchestrated comment [I'm tired] but... I have a friend [soon to be more I think] that's gone through it all. Me and her both. We've watched the city burn and we've seen so much change in our lifetimes. You learn that few things are for certain. See there's a lot that points to us amounting to nothing but one thing we both love is roadtrips. So we decided to go to Cali for Spring break. We'll be driving coast to coast [North Carolina to Cali] and we don't need our bags. We just get up and leave [like we did last weekend when we went to Alabama on a whim] and all I need will be right next to me in the car. Sometimes sitting back and watching it all is the best thing to do. Besides, if the world comes down we always have each other, whether friends or a little more :] |
