Well "my lungs, they start to ache" could actually be referring to Marijuana use, but I think it quickly leaves that subject. "I'm choking on my words, like i got a noose around my neck" is probably talking about how he doesn't know what to say to her and is killing him on the inside. "Our legs begin to break, We've walked this path for far too long" I think is a metaphor for how they're relationship can't hold itself up anymore and whatever they've done to do this to they're relationship has carried on too long. "And dear, I fear, That this ship is sinking tonight" Uhm its a pretty basic idea. He fears something finally failing whether it be referring to her committing suicide or just the relationship failing. "I won't give up on you, These scars won't tear us apart So don't give up on me, It's not too late for us And I'll save you from yourself, And I'll save you from yourself" This section definitely leads me to believe she cuts herself but he's not going to let that affect them. He's going to try to save her. The "don't give up on me" leads me to believe he's struggling with the same issues like she is. "But sleep in this bed that we made for ourselves, You're trapped in your past Like it's six feet under" This 1st line makes me think that they've created this problem of drug abuse and depression. The 2nd line means she's experienced something traumatic in the past and can't get over it. I think the line "I can taste the failure on your lips" is really important to the meaning. Its suppose to be taken literally and metaphorically. Like they're kissing yeah but even in the way they kiss he can sense them failing. "Try to numb the pain, With alcohol and pills But it won't repair your trust, You can't stand on two fucking feet With a substance as a crutch" Once again pretty basic idea. The trust part means he fucked up in the past. He's saying she can't make herself cope with issues using drugs. That she will just become more depressed. In a quick summary they both cut themselves, do drugs, and are depressed and he's sick of it. He wants to fix the problems and won't give up on her. On the other side the addition of problems in they're relationship mixed with drug abuse deepens her depression and she thinks leaving him will make her better. He doesn't want her to leave him and thinks they need each other to save one another from themselves. |

| The song is about 2 people who are in the relationship for different reasons. "Am I more than you bargained for yet" refers to how he is more attached to her than she wanted. "I'm just a notch in your bed post, but your just a line in a song" makes it clear that he was just someone to have casual sex with for her, while he had real feelings for her. Basically he really cares for the girl while she just wanted sex. "I'm watching you two from the closet Wishing to be the friction in your jeans" makes it clear she's having sex with someone else and he is jealous. | |

| I love this song because it shows like every side of Asking Alexandria. You have the brutal breakdown,mixed with sexual lyrics,and the emotional soft side. It's obvious the song is about a 1 night stand with a whore but the soft part has such a deep meaning. | Personally I think the song is talking about how the society at the times the kids weren't going anywhere. They were just going through life buying what they wanted not thinking about what they should and shouldn't do and what they beleive. Also I don't really know what he means "You could shit up they stage they'll be fans". Most would think Kurt meant that. I don't think he meant they give you shitty music because Im pretty sure Kurt realized music was all oppinionated and beleived in the whole concept of beauty in the eye of the beholder stuff. | Its sounds like it is mocking Social Darwinism or at least critisizing it. During the verse and bridge it kind of explains Social Darwinisms philosophy then it mocks it during the chorus. I think this line is actually attacking radical opponets to Social Darwinism, mocking the radical idea of fixing something with Fascism.
