Velvet Rolls Royce isn't a metaphor for a coffin. They actually have hearses that are Rolls Royce. I believe this song is about the car ride in the hearse to bury his son. "Stop to count the cars" meaning the cars in the funeral precession. |

After actually talking to Kevin (lead singer) and seeing what an awesome guy he is, I would have a very hard time supporting Evans Blue anymore. I will still listen to and love all of the stuff he wrote and sang, but I just can't support the new stuff. And hearing the new guy sing Kevin's songs just isn't right. |
