Honestly, I am not a rock music first kind of guy. I grew up in West Baltimore. 95% black. but i went to a Catholic High school obviously 95% white. I was introduced to some rock music. "Iron Man" before football games. Obviously Van Halen. Since this was the Early 80's I saw "Take me Higher" video
at the Gym back when it first came out. Loved the song and the clean messege. I went out and bought the Cd and have been listening to it every since. I am a black man throught and through. I don't buy rock music. Out side of Creed (Human Clay) and
Evenescence (Fallen). However I think Human Clay is one of the best rock albums(albums) ever made. There are songs for all people. and many i played while hitting the bag at the gym. For you(Myownpersonaldemon) to say that Creed "sucks" is showing how musically inclined(or lack there of) that you are. By the way I do box and would love to right hook you in the jaw. |

Chasing the Dragon means actually shooting Heroin in your Veins. During the late 60's and early 70's many people had Dragon Tatoos on thier forearms. Chasing the Dragon means finding a vein to shoot the Heroin into. Water Turning to Cherry Wine means when the blood runs from thier veins after shooting up and they have to wash out the Vein and stop the bleeding. Siver turning to gold just means the Holucinizations they have during the trip. The light in my eyes means the look heroin addicts have when they are high. The smile on my face is the contentment they get from a succsessful. Ahh shooting for lack of a better word. |
