| Hypocrisy – God Is A... Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This song seems to just be about blasphemy to the Christian theology or religion. He is essentially saying how he believes the image of god portrayed by Christian religions is a lie. He then goes on to say how he rules this world (in other words, he is explaining the satanic belief that each indivdual is their own god). In the end of the song he says how his "slaves" should assemble at the gates of hell and obey him. Also, Ive always thought it was weird how the lyrics say "obey me, and you die". although this is what I also hear in the song, shouldnt it say "disobey me, and you die". I guess this could just be broken english or something. |

| Hypocrisy – Buried Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I think that this song has a bit less of an actual meaning, and is more of a simple metal song. The song essentially tells the story of a guy who kills and buries some girl (presumably), it then goes on to say how he has more people to kill, simply to get his adrenaline pumping. The song then says how the man digs up the buried pale body and has sex with it (lol). also, one lyric correction. "Gave up this body For another" should read "Give up this body, for another realm" |

| Hypocrisy – Death Row (No Regrets) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think the basic meaning of this song is how the subject feels prosecuted for having religious beliefs that differ from the norm. The song seems to tell a story of a man who is being put to death for devil worship, or sending people "straight to hell". The real underlying meaning here is how he is unafriad of death, unafriad of being persecuted. This is shown when he says things like "I feel so unafraid" and in the beginning when he says that they are putting him in the electric chair (then he laughs it off as if its nothing. I think this song is meant to symbolize that eventhough those who worship satan may be prosecuted, it does not phase them at all, and sometimes they can even enjoy it or laugh it off. |

| Hypocrisy – Until The End Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I am not sure on the meaning of this one - I think it is basically saying that we have to wait until the end of our lives to really understand the purpose? also I think "There's no end for your pain. Just as long as you fight it" suggests that we should all just live our lives till the end, and not really worry about the purpose (or else there will be no end to our pain). This is one of my fav hypocrisy songs, I just love the way peters voice sounds in the chorus. it took me forever to figure out he was saying "be the reapers hand" though lol. |

| Hypocrisy – The North Wind Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I dunno if its just me, but instead of "murdered the same" ive always heard "put you to sleep". I could be wrong though. I also hear "wolves of death marchin up through the woods of evil" as opposed to "lords of death". I think the most correct version is on darklyrics, check it out. In general, I think this song is talking about the north wind as a metaphor for some sort of evil force, possibly satan or a demon of some sort. It also discusses what will happen when the demon takes over the earth. This is how I intreprest it at least. |

| Hypocrisy – The Arrival Of The Demons (Pt. 2) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I believe this song has to do with a satanic ritual of some sort. As we all probably know, the full moon is a time in which many of these rituals take place, and it is also a time in which animals and people act strangely. I think the meaning behind this song is simple, it is a cry out to satan or "elder gods" to open the gates of death (of hell). It also references how the time is right, this may refer to the current state of our planet, the differing views in religion may make it a vulnerable time for the demon to arrive. Alternatively this may just symbolize an actual time (like 3:00am) at which demons are said to arrive. I think this is one of the most underrated hypocrisy songs. IMO its amazing and hard as hell. \m/ |

| Hypocrisy – Roswell 47 Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
As you probably guessed, the song is about the UFO crash in Roswell. I believe that the meaning behind this song is that instead of covering up the incident due to a national security threat, we should have researched the UFO and attained new science and physics laws or ideas from the incident. Also, some lyrics here are wrong: "The energy fields so strong Will be worth it" should read: "The energy physics law will be worthless" and the end part (as i hear it) is: They came to visit as a secret, but something really happened we should all work on getting these lyrics right, and all the lyrics posted. I updated a few on darklyrics but it is hard because the band doesnt release official lyrics (as far as i know). |
