I believe this song has to do with a satanic ritual of some sort.
As we all probably know, the full moon is a time in which many of these rituals take place, and it is also a time in which animals and people act strangely.
I think the meaning behind this song is simple, it is a cry out to satan or "elder gods" to open the gates of death (of hell). It also references how the time is right, this may refer to the current state of our planet, the differing views in religion may make it a vulnerable time for the demon to arrive. Alternatively this may just symbolize an actual time (like 3:00am) at which demons are said to arrive.
I think this is one of the most underrated hypocrisy songs. IMO its amazing and hard as hell. \m/
