| I'm totally baffled by the lyrics of this song, but I really enjoy it anyway. Though it's a bit frustrating to me, because I'm always wondering if there IS some kind of "deep underlying message," and I'm just not getting it. (I *hate* that feeling!) I've done a bit of googling (of Bushfire's lyrics), but have never seen a definitive explanation of the lyrics--if there IS one! I'm sure I'm WAY off, but I've always wondered if the lyrics were expressing paranoia about the possibility that the U.S. President at the time (1989), George H. W. Bush, might start a nuclear war during his presidency--while making the lyrics SEEM as though the song was referring to boy-girl stuff. | |
