this was the last song of this album awaiting lyrics, im guessing cause they weren't the easiest to understand haha but i gave it a shot, might be a mistake or two, if you think so let me know also i completely left out two lines cause i really had no idea, the one after "It's too hard to run away" and the one after "To watch it burn, to watch it churn" if you think you know em let me know and ill be happy to add them and fix any other mistakes hope this helps as far as the meaning, i think its pretty obvious his girl cheats on him with his best friend he is furious and says he wants to burn his girl and possibly his friend too? to death he talks about doing this again in the afterlife i wouldnt say this is to be taken literally obviously, just expressing his rage he goes on to say how he was always there for her and that no one will be able to prove he was the one that burned her to death idk thats just how i see it lemme know what you think |

that sounds pretty good cyrix thanks for that but idk in the first line of the chorus it still seems that "you won't" would make more sense, cause he goes on to say "i could never stop, my life's turned upside down" implying his life is always changing or he is always on the move or something to that idk just a thought but i do agree that it could easily sound like "you'll" too |

spot on KevinSTL i agree 110% with your thoughts on what makes jeremy and ADTR in general so great its called excellent lyricism, writing songs that aren't too specific to one situation so that it can apply to the majority of listeners, it makes their stuff so much more attractive to listen to he and the band have done an amazing job with this on every album personally, i like to take it on as the being away from school one cause thats the situation im in now :/ also, great interpretation of the lyrics too, they make perfect sense oo yeah one more thing BOTH THIS ALBUM AND BAND KICK ASS i honestly cannot pick a favorite song on this album theyre all amazing and i CANNOT wait to see these dudes live on april 3rd and on WARPED! |

just another epic song by them but as far as the meaning goes, whether or not they were simply writing about just friendships doesnt matter if a song can be perceived in multiple ways, then the writers did their job because it's called the art of lyricism, writing a song that can have different meanings from different people's viewpoints youll find this in just about any well written song out there if you try to look at it from a different persepctive either way - great song, great band! cant wait to see them twice on TOC! |

In general i think you did a great job on this one, seeing as it's one of his harder songs to understand. I feel that that's definetely the right line in the chorus. A couple things I noticed though was one, I feel that the first line is "All of the times have changed." I could easily be wrong on that though it's just a guess. Second, the line after "We are not the same," seems to start with "I'll do whatever it takes to get a..." and thats all i got so far. Hope that helps. oo and btw - adtr and this cd are both amazingggg |
